I was playing The Witcher (pretty cool game, you pretty much can bang every woman around XD lol but really I enjoy the exploring the world and story thing). Anyways, I was playing and mid save the game crashed. Reading around other people having crash problems too (most of them using Vista, I'm not, I'm using XP). Well, I was wondering if there's anyway to recover my now lost saved file :| nothing I've done before and I don't wanna go f*cking with sh*t right now. Hopefully someone here might know.

I don't think there's much you can do about that unfortunately. I have had it happen to me multiple times in Titan Quest. Sometimes there are special programs to recover saves for a particular game, but I doubt there is one for The Witcher.
I was kinda looking to get into a new RPG and stumbled across that game, never did get it though. Apparently it's based off the Neverwinter Nights enginge lol... and the profanity and sex is nullified in the American version.

oh really? nullified? that's sad :( oh well. And I wasn't INSANELY far (barely in it I think but still several hours spent lol) I hate doing this sh*t.. guess I'll just restart one day.

I normally do but because the game doesn't let you name your saves and my friend plays it on my comp too I didn't want him to get confused with which are which :| it really is f*cking stupid you can't name your saves.
