That's one of the few reasons I'd hate to live in the UK. No one really fears doing b&e jobs. You do it in the US and you run a 50/50 chance of getting the back of your head painted on a random wall unless you know them or the area (area meaning cased).

I mean really, you break into a home in the UK and you're just as likely to be as armed as they are with a damned kitchen knife.

Nah, it was that intense. Three nigs (18-19) broke into the garage, at like 12:30PM. I just ran outside and made a lot of noise, called the cops. They arrested two of them with this f*cking huge ass dog. Its good to know the system works. WTF would I take a picture of?

I'm fairly sure in most places(i dont know if it's statewide), that you can't shoot an intruder if he's unarmed or else they will in fact arrest you instead of whoever broke into your house. Stupid f*cking law, but I swear it's true.
