I remember playing the demo of wolfenstein on a packard bell 486sx with 2 megs of ram.

In 1989 I spit on John Romero inspiring today's first person shooter genre.

That is such an exceptionally poor lie. You forget that you've admitted your actual age to a few of us. But, if you were playing cs at age 7, then congrats.

If your *brother* posted that and hes 15, hes ben playing since he was 10, and i hate kids.

In other news:
I've been playing about a year or a year and a half, i just got the source pack on steam and it came with CS:S
I played HL2:DM for a while and then i tried CS:S and got hooked

I got into cs when it went retail, but I cut my teeth on Wolf3d, Blake Stone, and Doom. I was seven when Doom came out in '93 and even playing the demo on my dad's 386, I was immediately hooked on the action. I seem to remember playing Wolf3D even earlier on a 286 that had this sh*t-tastic OS that looked like file folders. That computer had no Adlib sound card so I didn't even get the "Achtung?!" and gunshot noises, just blips and bloops from the PC speaker.

My step-dad introduced me to 1.6 when I was 12 so that's 6 years. Started playing CS:S in early 2005 and I've been playing ever since. Delta Force was the sh*t!

I didnt really meet other kids that enjoyed gaming until my freshman year of HS, so 1999. Quake, UT, Half-life, CS, DoD, TF were some of the games we played a lot. Eventually I got sick of my familys computer and decided to buy my own with money I had been saving for the past few years. At that point I fell into the rabbit hole of RPGs and MMOs; Diablo, Warcraft, EQ, WoW.

Anyway, 1999 2000 time period I would say for CS. Back when it was all WON ID and WON authentication. Set up steam shortly after it was implemented but didnt actually buy source until maybe a year and a half ago.

I remember my dad showed me Counter-Strike around 1999-2000 around the time i had just played Half-Life. I never really played it again until i got hooked on source which was a little while before i joined BoSS. Then i played 1.6 and play them both off and on ever since.
