Dell XPS 1730

CPU: Dual Core Duo 2.60GHz
RAM: 4 gigs of DDR2 SDRAM @ 667MHz
HD: 120GB & 160GB (7200 rpm) (No RAID implemented, Lotus is lazy)
Vid: Two 512MB 8800M GTX (SLI)
OS: Vista 32-bit
Mouse: Logitech G9
Keyboard: Wolfking Warrior Xtreme

A.) Don't say I have rich parents. I busted my arse to buy this stuff lol.
B.) Don't narc on me b/c it's not a custom built machine. I have two desktops that I built myself from scratch. (However, they are not gaming machines, so I'm posting this.)
C.) It may not be the latest and greatest it, but it can play all the games that I like on it.

its okay for lan, but portability comes at too much of a price influx.

on dells site that goes for $2.5k+ seriously? I could buy a quad Crossfire setup for that price, and still have enough for at least 6TB of storage and 12gb of ram.

Scratch that, make it a micro tower with the monitor attached to the side panel, bam, same portability, more power. Look less like an asshat :D

Nah, I understand that brothers. My only fear of micro towers is if the psu goes up. You then usually have to special order one from the company + I can't fit the bigger gpus in it if I'm mistaken. Anywho, I'm a haggler Sahdow, I only paid 1200$ for it lol :1: . However, I agree with you all! I rather have a desktop, but currently, I can't afford to build one. I'm unemployed and busting my arse in school haha. Also, I only have a set amount to live off of since I'm too lazy to get a job. Ah laziness...

It's from Dell so you get what you pay for and that is an overpriced machine that will likely fail after two years. If you get a chance you should read Zeke and my posts on our Dell experience.

Fucking horrible.

Yeah, I'll definitely look into that post Cleric. Dell installs a lot of bloatware, and other crap you dont need, that you have to remove right off the bat (failsauce). I'm not too fond of dells either lol. However, I like being able to take it to friends houses, and yes, I used to lug my desktops around, monitors and all haha. When I graduate and start making $$$, I'll post a custom built desktop just for you guys :20: . As for now, I'll have to make due with the XPS. She's all I got... lmao

One of those garbage wolfking keyboards, get them all the time when we run LAN's, add them as runner up prizes to tournaments. Layout is not for me and have heard of them breaking quite a bit. But then again, you get any emo-rage counter-strike kid crying about how his team lost the tournament anything is up for grabs for breaking.

Go to this website called google, then type in the keyboard he posted what it was at the first post which is 'Wolfking Warrior Xtreme' and presto blammo, instant bacon! Man, this internetting stuff is difficult, actually have to read things, harsh!

BTW, if you are a touch typist you will feel lost and confused with that keypad, I felt like a man on mars and stopped using it right then and there. If you are under the age of 18 and are incapable of intelligent thought to learn touch typing that keyboard will be great for you :D

....or maybe we shouldnt even help out people that stupid/lazy?

As for the setup...yeah...no sense really repeating things ppl have already said. Just the simple statement- a laptop can never be called a 'gaming rig'...

My friend has a $2.5k *gaming* laptop from Alienware <----- (he's retarded)
He has sh*t graphics (8600m i think)
C2D @ 2.2 or some sh*t like that, totally ripped off
PLUS, Alienware makes crappy plastic cases, the top has molded ridges and they're all hollow and flexible, its bad.
P.S 1 hr battery life
