The last time there was an issue with backwards compatibility and microsoft, I somehow couldn't play 50% of the games I owned unless there was an update.

What exactly is the difference between Windows 7 Professional English (x64) vs (x86)

so.. what the f*ck is with the stupid naming? why not just 64 bit and 32 bit in the name? Why 64 and 86?

Because the first x86 processor was the intel 8086, hence the 86 naming scheme. learn2wikipedia kthxbai
