this is kind of an odd question/problem/issue that i have been trying to figure out and i cannot find out why i cannot join my friends server....
im trying to join my friends server
Name of server : |.Elite.| RTV $16k Fast DL
IP adress: <IP removed Advertising>
CS_Office VAC Secure...
i was playing on this server on the week of nov 6th..... i got back home january 8th.... i tried to get into his server and the download would not go.... i reinstalled steam and CSS still would not load...
i even went as far as reinstalling XP and installing steam and CSS first and trying it again but still it will not let me download files to be able to join the server... i CAN download all the map files but when it gets to Admin plugin files.... the download just stops and sits
i have let down all firewalls and AV programs and i cannot find a solution to this.....
im just wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything like this and what should i do???

Connection issue with a server...... anyone have a clue? connection cannot be made no matter what...

You seriously reinstalled your OS for this? It's just a f*cked up issue with Steam's server browser and it has been known for a couple of years. Sometimes server won't even show up in the server list -- We had that issue with the BoSS servers for a while.
This usually works for me: go to console and type connect 69.162.88.14:27015
If that doesn't work, try deleting your .blob file -- It's in your Steam folder.

If it allows you to start downloading files from the server but stops at the admin plugins, it probably means that the server is f*cked and won't allow you to download them. If this is the case, nothing can be done from your end.

couldnt i have my friend send me all the admin plugin files and put them into my cstrike folder manually?
i didnt mean to be advertising another persons server.. my badz
