Got my i7 build sold off for a bit more than a paid for it, and received my 1055, board, and memory yesterday and was so curious I bought a 1090T.

Using the same board, same memory, same everything except for the processor, I was able to get the 1055t to a stable 3.93...... The 1090T on the otherhand, after ALOT more work I got a stable 3.95.......... Extra 20 mhz....... Granted I was able to POST into windows on a higher overclock than the 1055, but it was anything but stable.

This comes to show you that having a unlocked multiplier isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Obviously I might have a bad binned 1090 but at this point the price premium between the two doesnt justify the extra you pay.

exactly Scroll lock, 100 dollars for maybe a little bit easier clock switching doesn't equal stability, there is a chart on XtremeSystems with the highest x6's and you know what has the highest STABLE OC? the 1055T at 4.5 GHz.
