I remember why I came to this server. Funk told me there was a group of people who talked an extreme amount of shit. They had admins who would have fun with the users playing. They may have abused some of them, but that was literally an initiation and literally part of the fun.

What happened to this?

I feel like a total tool when I even mic mute someone.

I have people I've played for years with, and when I fuck with them, other people are getting pissed in server.

The fuck, do I slap them with 5 minutes? Do I try to play and just sort the bullshit?

We have maybe 6 people on GG at a time if we get that. (12am on) They don't want to stay through grenade level any more, or maybe we'll do two to three games at most. The fuck? Why even have it?

I have so many people telling me that it is not the same as it used to be, and half of them have been here for a year or less...

The fuck happened to the good times if they haven't the slightest clue as to why I even joined or how much fun we used to have? I understand Billy, Inertia, Cleric and the others are gone, but why have we let it go?

I used to have so much fun but the knife teams, snail rushes, meat towers, etc are dead. People cry now.

Sorry if this is just a drunk post, but goddamn. I'm tired of people bitching at the slightest thing, and feeling like we're just there to collect buddies, toss hackers or flay fucktards.

I agree, though I guess it really isn't my place to since I've only been on this server for a year and a half. I occasionally throw around drugged rounds on server #1, but as soon as I do, anyone new to the server is like; "OMFG ADMIN ABUSE OMFGGGG YOU'LL RUIN MY 3087 RANK! D:" So I only ever do it on the rare occasion. Same with any of the 'Fun' admin commands.
Any regulars on the server don't give a shit what I do, because they enjoy it none the less. Such as Duba, Bl1nky, ///M, So How U Doin, Smokey and the like.
People have started to care more about their ranks than actually having fun on the server. I'm quite happy to go several rounds just knifing or pistolling (stfu Halcomb I know you're going to bring up that USP thing the other day ¬.¬).
What is most annoying is that people know I'm admin, so as soon as they find a CT at back window when it's about 1:30, they're like; "OMG SLAY. SLAY." When usually that player has already moved.
It just feels like the community has changed to hate any sign of variety (now known as admin abuse) in the server, and there are only a few players left that still enjoy the game even if they're stacked in projector for a tower of power, or butt rushing CTs with only Glocks to save them.

Don't get me started on Gungame. I NEVER see the game full, nor to I see it ever in use unless myself, Shorty or Halcomb kick it off (which I don't mind). On rare occasions we get a large group of people playing and it's a lot of fun. I don't really know how to fix this to be honest, most people just enjoy Office more than Gungame.

Any ideas on how to fix this? :/

What hasnt been said here probably was said in another post somewhere as to what people would like. So, If Shadow doesnt want to put the work in, nothing is going to get done. We can sit here and say we would love this this or this but the fact of the matter is if he doesnt want it, it wont get done...

If you want retention, some things need to change, albeit even if its little...

Haha, I remember those old times. Yea it was fun and all, but obviously times have changed.

People have their own thing to do. Honestly, Counter Strike:Source has gotten extremely boring.

I mean seriously, I have over 2000+ hours on it, and the only reason I played most of the time is because Chibi

or my old old friend Kingdom, if any of you guys remember him, plays.

Then there are also just weird BoSS members that pop outta no where with the tags on

and I don't even see them introduced on forums >.< . Meh. And just new admins popping out of no where.

The most fun was when GG was full of regs and admins who don't care about score. The admin using their power

and blinding, freezing, beaconing, etc. those other players :) (You know what I'm talkin about)

And when a few admins try to get the server to be fun there are obviously other players who disapprove

and say Admin Abuse! Then they would start to bitch at the admin and obviously get themselves banned

then they would have to hop onto the forums and bitch some more or so called "apologize". But I really doubt they're sincere.

But yea, It's just not as fun as it used to be. :(

halcomb, we've been playing on BoSS servers for what 6 years? Anything you do for six years is going to go flat from time to time. I myself have to take breaks once in a while to keep shit fresh, most of the time when a new game comes out or school starts you'll see a big dip in people playing. As far as people not wanting to have fun anymore, fucck'em. I see by your 6:15am post that you are still one of the backbones to this place. I know i need to be on more but that's what happens when pussy's around 24/7(you married guys/gals will understand). You got to keep fuccking with people in the servers, not in a bad way, but the time tested fuck you if you don't like it go somewhere else way. That's Boss gamers and that's what makes this place a riot. If people start to complain tell em to go the christian servers and have a nice life.


oh yeah and halcomb get a hold of me on your day off, the casinos in Tampa aren't gonna take our money if we dont go.

Fun is what you make of it.. Server 1 practically full 24/7, always a good crowd on hand at night. To me server 1 has never been better. So a few randoms cry from time to time, does anyone really care? People come and go, I've been here with Stoned, Mad, and Korosys for 6 years now and enjoyed every minute of it. CS:S is the best online shooter ever, of all time. play your battlefag or call of doody #2 on some gay non-dedicated server. Fool yourself into believing that its cool. Im gonna go play our awesome office cuz there's 24 players there and its 2 in the morning. you try keeping 4 servers, forums, and vent running 24-7 see how easy it is. You emo drama queens have no idea. See, I do because I had my own server for a year, and let me tell ya, just to run a measly 12 man server with hardly any players is a full time job. and expensive. You try to run a server, keep the mani admin plug-in going through some Steam updates, deal with the emo BS, and then pay for it. Let me know how it works out.

I've played a ridiculous amount of new games with a lot of the old time members here and I come back literally after a month. I do love this server, I just hate what it is becoming. I'm not knocking Shadow, nor was it my intention.

I simply hate the new try-hard or cry-hard crowd we've been amassing. I remember when team stacking and bitching about rank was hitting a high and Shadow reset the server's stats. Not once but twice in a week. The server was about having fun and doing your goddamn job in game. I shouldn't have to wait to 0:30 for a CT to appear when there aren't even any fucking T's near spawn or the hostages. So I slay them, then I have to explain not only to him, but the other three fucking twats who thought he was doing a fucking good job holding up the goddamn server.

Or when we play our little games and someone mentions to me how many ranks he lost having fun with us. What the fuck is that? Don't fucking have fun with us then you fucking twats, we didn't ask you to fucking enjoy our goddamn server. We joined BoSS because we had fun here, we didn't because there was a fucking counter on our goddamn KDR.

Doesnt have to get old. Setup games and take over the officer server every so often. Use the forums here to set up the times. Im sure some of the old regulars would come back just for that. Would be nice to see some of those faces again :) I may not have been here as long as most of you, but i do remember haveing a lot more fun when i started(i got better at knifing since then :) )...

Stoned would go all recon and find a server with votekick and voteban enabled. we would then invade the server, voteban the admins and everyone else off, all with perfect vent co-ordination. Thats a short summary of what actually happened but my god you never laughed so hard in your life.

I also vote for a rank reset. I have not been a member of BoSS long but when I joined I remember haveing alot of fun. The servers are not as much fun now with everyone compaining about rank and abuse. I miss the old days when I first joined BoSS. Yes Office Server stays full most of the time but its with random people that go afk and take up slots for people that want to play.

I try to play from time to time but it only last about a week. Most of the players when I get on are just a bunch of faggots. Could be I'm just tired of CSS but I'm pretty sure it's the faggots fagging me up, CS2 could be nice though.
