Sup,

I'm gonna be on vacation in a few week and traveling for a few weeks more and figured I'd really like to have myself a nice portable computer or a laptop to use to do work and to play various games with. I don't care to have anything top of the line, but things that can at least handle most of the games I play (LoL, Minecraft, World of Tanks, CS:S, etc) would be fine. I'm doing some searching now, but figured I'd ask you guys for any good choices you know of to buy.

Thanks

Great price, horrible quality and customer support. Absolutely garbage company as far as laptops, monitors are not too bad but I have had countless issues with their laptops over the years.

I was honestly looking more towards Asus laptops myself. Sure the ones I was looking around were more around the ~$1000 range, but that's not so bad.

pretty fond of Lenovo myself, would rather go with the Fusion lineup rather than the handicapped integrated from last gen. however just look around for those Llano chips.

Well doing a half ass search

joy.

And there are three that seem decent:

I'll get back to looking elsewhere after work.

it's not just for the vacation lol. I just want it for the vacation during the moments I know I'll be bored (basically at night an hour or so before I sleep).

any of those three would be a nice choice..

back to my selection.. its amazing you can get a mid range desktop replacement with a 17 inch screen for netbook pricing nowadays.. I went to Worst Buy in new hampshire they had the same ones for 500 cash, no shipping or tax.. They must be mass producing these things like sausages. yes acer sucks but only 3 things ever happen to laptops anyway- lost, broken, or stolen. If I spent a grand on a lappy I would be too paranoid to take it anywhere..

Ok then, I meant this was the one that was what I was looking at

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16834152258

But this seems nice, and SoulWind found it for like 700 bucks through Sears, but I really don't trust it since I can't quick return it to their store and I don't trust the person who sells it from reading their shit about returning... so ya..

Shadow, you claim Lenovo ThinkPad is good? Which? I can't find one that has Radeon as you suggest, all have Nvidia (but I'm half assing the search true lol, just checked lenovo's site itself).

Edit: Sears reference

Eh, I just don't trust it. I'll try calling them when I get home though to make sure it is legit. Because I really won't have time to send it back, get my money back, and find a new laptop before I leave if I find it isn't what they claimed.

Edit: Ok, so I got home and well... ya, called them and their phone number didn't work. I'll try e-mailing, but this shit is suspicious. Time to find another laptop or possibly get this one for 1300 or the 1000 one (but you guys tell me Nvidia sucks for laptops sooo). More searching at the very least.
