Any plans for this to be more active? Maybe instead of CS:S, a new game?

there are no new games.

in all seriousness, the only server that sees any play for BoSS is server 1, CS Office. The only other success we had was way back when for Mech Warrior: Living Legents, the Crysis mod which didn't work out. Its a long story.

If you have some ideas for a new game to play i'm all ears.

as far as i know nobody in BoSS plays TF2? idk, I don't.
I just cant think of anything good thats out/coming out to start up a community for. The only games i'm looking forward to are Torchlight 2 and Guild Wars 2.

The only PC games I play are Dota 2 and CS:S for the foreseeable future. Possibly Borderlands 2, but most of the people I played Borderlands with are on xbl.

Oh and when Dark Souls comes out, I will be playing the fuck out of that. I can't wait.

I can't think of anything that would quickly light a fire under the forum and get it back up and roaring around here like it used to. There are more social outlets today and competing demands for attention (wider penetration of the market with live, psn, etc). Most of our user base has aged to the point that we don't regularly game (for hours on end) and frankly we've never been the most welcoming/inviting bunch anyway so we never gained traction with recruiting fresh blood.

What kept us running in high gear before was simply that we had a COMMUNITY. We had individuals that were regularly active simply to talk, be they admins or dedicated members. They chatted in vent - even when not actively in-game, posted here, and generally shared aspects of their lives beyond gaming. Most of those people are gone.

So, find some social people and encourage them to post here. Challenge yourself to be active here as well. It would seriously take perhaps 10-15 actives to get the forum headed in the right direction. From there, as new users appeared to register, they'd see a moderately active group. Some of them will stick around to chat. Finally, down the road a little, perhaps in as little as 6 months, things will be active.

Oh, also our forum is way too developed for the user base we have now. It looks intimidating to new users (too many categories and threads to follow) and wherever they look it is obvious that individuals that post are few and far between. I'd thin out the number of places to go and that would go a long way toward making this looks like less of a ghost town. We can always readd items when necessary.
