I read the book.. back when I lived in the shire, about 75 years ago. the original animated movies were sick.

well in all honesty i tried to read it but never really understood what it was about because it was written in annoying british. (coloured, whilst, etc.) Reading text with words spelled in british makes me angry for some reason.
