you dont have to uninstall it. firefox will automatically be set as your default internet browser. theres no need to uninstall ie. even if you never use it again, it may mess up windows.

Firefox is by far the best thing ever... it is so much better than that microsoft excuse for an ie... I like firefox b/c you can have a ton of windows open in one window via the tabs... ahh what a life saver that is, no longer do I have to go down to my task bar and try and figure out which window is the one im looking for...

To uninstall IE,

go into control panel, click add/remove programs, click the button on the left that says 'add/remove windows components' uncheck the box next to internet explorer, click next.

then go to your program files and clear the remnants of the folders.

make sure befor eyou do that thouhg u copy out all your bookmarks (firefox will ask you if you want to do that when you start it up for the first time), and clear temp internet files and cache.

been using firefox for a bit now on a variety of sites, no probs as of yet.

For me firefox has worked a gazillion times better on just about every site that I use... with ie I could even use pogo.com, firefox runs it like it was nothing.
