lmao that sh*t has happened to me but i get annoyed and rejoin the game after i see a little pink... Just seeing a window pink makes me restart the game if i alt+tabbed... I've never put up with it that MUCH! LOL! Wow that's some wierd sh*t ^_^

yeah hasnt happened to me in a while b/c of my upgraded ram, but annoyed the sh*t outta me when it did. sometimes the pink walls would just happen when i joined the game regularly and just gotta restart steam.

i was playing on my roomates computer one time and it did not just turn pink it turned tye-dye

me and billy thought it was quite funny but my roomate did not think so

i will have to see if he still has the screen shots we took

it used to do that to me, sometimes i couldnt maximise. but for the last few months i can do it 50 times and nothing happens. i always talk on aim when im not alive or sometimes if the other team is camping.

all that happens to me if i alt tab out of it while the game is loading... is the dumpster models dissapear and the dumpsters are all black.. gets kind of annoying.. but when i figured out that it only happens if i alt tab while its loading (the hard way)... i just dont do it anymore

ohhhh finally i know what caused that because like long time ago i use to play cs:s and use to alt tab lots and when i came back it was all pink and sh*t and i thought it was my video card or sumthing.

to bad the ram has nothing to do with the prob..... i have 2000 megs of ram. two one gig chips in d/c.
i used to have the same prob and im not sure what i did to corect it... but its not a big deal, just restart the game and it will be fine. now that im thinking about it, do you ever use "sleep" for power saving? a prob i had whitch might have something to do with your prob, if i had my pc on "sleep" then loged on and played css it would do that purple sh*t, then it started crashing after about 2 rounds. after a while it would crash right when i got in game. i shut off the "sleep" function and my css has not crashed sence.(unless im ocing to high)

i don't give a sh*t , it used to do it when i had 512 and it doesn't do it now that i have a gig, if thats not it then maybe its my new/extra hd lol. cause that is the only thing i have done differently. I don't care if i'm right or wrong, but when i used to alt tab it took forever and when it came back it was purple, now i do it and it is smooth as silk and clear as hell. so whatever.

it's an overheating issue. When your v-card gets too hot, it causes artifacts and color f*ckups.

i didn't say that that was what it was i just said since i upgraded i havn't had any problems at all.

i just run my sh*t in a window now and it works fine... no pinky or purple and now cs crash.... hahahah f*ckin cs

Prolly not sh*t overheating either. Before I reinstalled windows I could NOT Alt+Tab without crashing Steam. After reinstall, I can alt+tab just fine. (worked quickly just like it is supposed to) Now that I got my new LCD, when I alt+tab i goes in and out of game just fine, but the picture on my desktop flashes on and off. I really haven't tried to fix this yet though. I blame it mostly on Steam maybe a little bit on ATIs drivers and or Microsoft....... Prolly not hardware related if it happens to everyone with different hardware.
