I like the look of that. God do I hate the default bubbly-looking xp crap. Classic FTW. I don't think that I'll be running Vista anytime soon as it is gonna, most likely, suck ass till SP1 comes out...... 2 years from now.

lol why bother with vista? If you have a gaming comp you won't notice much difference, unless there are drivers etc only for vista for your videocard. Maybe DirectX will pull off some vista h4x.. but I think not. I'm sticking with XP.

I was praying for direct x 10 H4X but this version was released on the 26 allmost final. And i like to be first in the race on any new hardware software. So when vista is released i know my way around it!!And when i find the right video drives i'll post some benchmarks. But the only dissapoinetmet is the slow start up cause my viideo drivers aren't right but when they release them it'll start quicker and i'll be able game better.Right now it plays source but i lose 60 frames.Maybe wit right drivers i'll get 60+ instead of 60-??

It looks nice. I love the start button.

Slow, eh? Well, since im getting -2345 FPS in Source anyway, i dont think i should be thinking of getting it. Maybe once i get my new comp.... which will happen god knows when :tired:

Of course it does. Apple is stealing Microsoft's thunder, and Microsoft is pissed. Vista will include now "mini-apps" called "Gadgets" that range from sticky notes to alarm clocks.

Hmm...OS X "Widgets" and Vista "Gadgets"

I'll be getting the Ultimate version when I get a comp with a dual-core processor or GeForce 7800 Graphics Card.

hey chris the new guy? how do u even mean? First off, that doesnt not look like OSX, for i have OSX on my ibook. 2nd...how exactly is APPLE stealing from MICROSOFT in this case? think before you speak!

OSX is an existing operating system...Vista is in beta....but somehow u feel that widgets is a microsoft idea??

I use Mac OS X as well. Also, don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say it looked like OS X, I said it will have features similar to those of OS X. Also, "Stealing his Thunder" is an expression of speech, meaning, Apple is stealing Microsoft's customers/popularity because of OS X's improved features.

as far as i know, stealing ones thunder has nothing to do with stealing customer base...maybe you should state that somewhere

The figure of speech I used applies here. IN Windows XP, you can't just track flights without installing and opening up a big program. In OS X 10.4, you can. Customers a attracted to this. More customers switch to OS X. Windows XP becomes more un-popular. Apple has therefore stolen Microsoft's thunder.

No, it looks really nice, but especially since everyone is still unsure about it and since it slows down your comp, ill have to wait with Vista. Maybe once i get my new computer (which i cant wait to get, but with all the spenditures im a lil short right now.. ) and when i get more feedback. :9:
