I'm already running into sh*t, the f*cking thing froze up right, and crashed, so I had to uninstall SP2, download the FULL copy, now.... I uninstalled SP2, installed it again, my drivers are almost all f*cked up, somehow, it even removed my USB drivers, So I actually had to install some of them again, funny enough...

I wonder how many issues I run into

Ooh, ouch. Sorry about that Shadow, I hate it when I install new software and run into all sorts of problems, which happens just about every f*cking time I install something new, even if I follow the instructions word for word. I hope you get things fixed and under control soon.

Heh, idk... I've had more problems with sp1 than sp2... never really had any problems with sp2...

SP1 is really old. They made a zillion changes in sp2. I have never had an issue with sp2, but I always run all the updates before I install any drivers. ALmost all current drivers are optimized for sp2......... Not surprised that uninstalling sp2 f*cked up a ton of sh*t. Id reinstall, update everything then install all your sh*t.

A pain in the ass no doubt, but sp2 works pretty good.

the Biggest issue I've run into thus far is the Slow booting, Windows Screen takes about 9 Million f*ckin passes before it loads to the Windows Welcome screen which takes another 10+ seconds to load the desktop...

So, I guess I need to load BootVis and see what .dll or .sys File is slowing me down, and CRUSH IT!

anyway i have never had anyproblems with SP2 runs great. I think yatzee had some similar trouble switching from 1 to 2 maybe he'll weigh in on the issue.


and sholonky i thought the only major change between SP1 and SP2 was some security issues?

Yeah, mostly. They addded that security center, improved the firewall, and now whenever your sh*t's out of date, Windows bugs you with those talk bubbles. Also, IE6 is updated with a popup blocker, more ActiveX alerts and other stuff, but it doesn't matter because the only people who use Internet Explorer are retards and douchebags.

There's also some stability issues fixed and things like that.

I don't have any problems or slowdowns with SP2 that I'm running now, but the first "final" version after the beta was really sluggish.

Sp2 never gave me any problems. Other than the ghey messages it pops up.

Tried, everytime you do them, SP2 goes to microsoft then i get spammed with "THIS IS NOT LEGIT, YOU MAY BE A VICTOM OF SOFTWARE PIRACY, GO LEGIT NOW!!!!" it goes on my log'in screen and on my start bar. It doesnt go away. So i just dont screw with SP2.... as much as i'd like it...

You can get a crack for that windows genuine advantage (or whatever the f*ck it is called) too. Just google for it.

windows found a way to make the genuine advantage work. the new updates make you have wga installed and operational for you to dl and install further updates from my knowledge and experience. i just turned off updates cause i dont giva f*ck ne more as long as my windows still runs the way it is: virus free and adware free.

yeah crackers and microsoft keep going back and forth. Best thing to do is find a ware with sp2 built in. But you should still be able to dl a few updates before having to dl the wga sh*t. That is before you crack the activation of course. That is what I did. I refuse to pay $300 + dollars for an operating system.

All i have to say is f*ck windows if there were a better alternative i would use it. I personaly hate windows but thats just me.
