Today you will notice some strange files downloading when you connect to the servers, but don't worry, it isn't gay or anything...

I know how I just cannot f*cking stand going into a *quake sounds* server, the old soundfiles seem so... hollow.

So I said f*ck it, I busted out unreal Ed, Extracted and re-encoded the Unreal Tournament 2004 (Sexy Female) Voice files and overlapped the old quake sounds that is configured already for mani-admin.

so, It SHOULD be an interesting experience since I don't quite think that many servers, if any at all use those specific files, but its a given that you probably won't be annoyed by them, but one thing I can say for sure, you damn well will be DISTRACTED by them.

The sounds aren't too bad.. the knife sound is kind of annoying when you're playing gun game though. Its just a little much. The rest of them I like though.

Everytime I hear that b*tch say something when there are only a couple of dudes left,.....my stupid brain shuts down and thinks the round is over. By the time I figure out the round is not over, I'm dead.

Don't know how these voice overlays work, but it would be cool to get a real b*tch voice to use instead of the UT chick. You may be able to get Chris82 to do some soundbites while he shakes his buttplug in the air. JK

Looking forward to hearing the new sounds. My test-frenzied period is now over! Woo! So I'll be on a lot more. Aside from BoSS, I've only played in one server that had female voice overs, but I'm not sure if they're from UT or not.

Very nice . I have noticed that when she says "humiliating defeat" I get some distortion especially in the right channel. Doesn't seem to come up in anything else she says, just that one. Am I on crack? Maybe.

yeah i personally like the sounds. they're pretty sweet.

initially i didnt like them so much, but now i consider them far superior to the quake sounds.

Try going into your sounds folder and delete that one manually, then let it download again when you connect to the server. If that doesn't work, you should cut down on the crack.

However the "humiliating defeat" when someone gets knifed is awefull in Gun Game when someone gets knifed every 5 seconds. I reccomend changing that to the old school "humiliation" as its much less annoying.

Also, how do you disable the sounds completely ingame. Had a few of the pub folks ask me this.

I agree with the "humiliating defeat" in GG, it gets annoying. To turn off the sounds, just type in "quake"

Finally more people chime in on the GG knifing. People get knifed a lot in GG. The warmup knife round is basically just a bunch of humiliating defeat's all mangled together..

I really like the Quake sounds.

But for some reason it won't work on the server. I check the Console and some red error comes up. Oh well, I can mutter "God Like" to myself to give me internal confidence.

I changed the gungame knife sound so only the Victim hears it.

Should fix ALL problems :)
