Err...I'm not stuck on AMD. Even I could could lay down the cash for Intel's sh*tty core duos, I wouldn't.

lol: those core duos sure are sh*tty....

Even the Pentium D is better at some things than the FX-62

EDIT: The 3800 you are buying (Same proc that I have), is in like... 53rd place on this benchmark..... Every intel chip on that list is better than the proc you are buying


Good call on the coolermaster case, I bought the stacker and it's the best case I've ever had.

besides, those Core Duo's are still kinda b*tchy imo, especially since the intel chipset is straightup f*cking gay, but I do think with all the AMD price drops this quarter, You should aim for something a bit higher up the food chain, in the 4200+ range, maybe a nice X2

And for f*ck sake stop listening to toms hardware, they have long since been intel fanboys and will always be, f*ck those biased !@#$%^&s.

lol, yea i have noticed some intel bias on thg...but its still a good. site. btw, i haven't found any web page at all that puts a amd proc over the core2duo. and i mean consistently, not some obscure benchmark.

Whatever. After my heavy Intel experience, AMD is where I'm at. And until I find a sh*tty experience there, it's where I'll stay.

BTW Shadow I can probably bump it up to a 4000+ depending on my funds...

How is thg biased? Its pretty much the best review sight out there. When amd's fx processors were on top they were not biased. But now that the core 2 duo is the best they are biased???????

Some Fanboys just can't admit when they're wrong, that's all.

I also agree that Tom's takes a scientific aproach to testing, minimizing variables, and using a large sample selection. AMD will probably be ahead of Intel when they release their new procs, and toms will reflect that....

honestly the only real faults in C2Ds are that some of the IHSs are a little bit concave (not an issue unless you wh*re the temps/OCs) and they're getting limited by FSB architecture. Intel's caching is far better than AMDs, and AMD has a slightly better memory controller. Since he and shadow are fixed on AMD, there's really nothing you can throw at them to make them think otherwise. Both will be better than his current proc so it really doesn't matter that much.. Either way he'll be happy.
