Attention Counter-Strike players, your game is about to become infested with in-game advertising courtesy of Valve and IGA. In an interview with Valve's Doug Lombardi, CS-Nation questioned the marketing director on how the ads would be implemented and the reasoning behind the commercial change to the seven-year old mod with a diehard community.

That's right, Valve is putting ingame advertising in CS 1.6.

If you read the article then you would know that at first, they are going to implement it into 1.6 only to see how the community reacts. Really, though, I think we all know that that really means that they are going to eventually put the sh*t in every game they make no matter what the "community" says.

Ads have been in video games for a long time (Every need for speed I can remember has billboard ads all over the place).

Besides, Valve can do whatever they want, it's their game. Make your decision to support, or not support valve when they release another game.....
