A) These people aren't wearing the wriststrap.
and/or
B) They are retards who are swinging the remote way too violently.

These things are only happening because:
A) These people aren't wearing the wriststrap.
and/or
B) They are retards who are swinging the remote way too violently.
C) They were drunk.
C proves true in a lot of stories I've read.
And if they are doing it sober, then yeah they ARE retards, it doesn't take much motion.

I went to a cyber cafe once and I was playing Halo 2 and some kid kept putting his hand on my thigh even though I told him to stop (he didn't even know he was doing it to me). I've seen people throw and smash their controllers when they win and even stomp on them...ridiculous... .

http://www.wiihaveap...ticle.php?id=76Solution (at least a solution for flying wii-motes)
also I think the problem is that people try to do something like bowling and then naturally let go and the straps suck.

This reminds me of the original Mario Party conspiracy with the N64 where the N64 controller was ripping the sh*t out of everyones hands with that one mini game where you had to rotate that f*ckin joystick as fast as you can. The first time I did that I took about 15 layers off the palm of my hand and boy did it hurt.
Man f*ck that, I still remember how sore my hand would be after playing that game 'cause of having to rotate that damn control stick.
