There is currently a wide spread power outage in Bellevue/Seattle impacting Steam Server availability. Unfortunately ETA for when the power will be restored is unknown as the power company will only work on restoring it once the storm has eased and the high winds have died down.

So if you are currently connected to Steam, don't exit it or it is highly likely you won't be able to connect and play CS for an unknown amount of time!

Tried it now and it works just fine. Must have gotten a backup server up.

ehm, Bullshit story imo, Almost EVERY datacenter in the US has a backup power system which runs on diesel or whatnot and can provide power for like a week or so...

well, as of 2:28 est, I just got home from work, and I cant log into steam, it keeps saying it cannot connect to the server...
eh serves me right for shutting down my computer when I go to sleep.

What the f*ck how can a company be this horrible to their customers, don't they have backup servers n sh*t.

Maybe they were adding another 'awesome' update and it f*cked up their sh*t

I can log in just fine. But I seem to be the only person in the world who can. Checked the main server list and they are all empty! Except for bots.
