Ok so InColdBlood introduced me to this guy who is a Mac user...naturally this happened. (Long convo warning, grab something to eat)

Theasalover=Chris82
Foxesdoitbest=InColdBlood
Egg=Mac user

*** foxesdoitbest has been invited to the group chat.
*** eggrolldogman has been invited to the group chat.
*** eggrolldogman has been invited to the group chat.
*** eggrolldogman has joined the chat.
the asa lover: wait until your friend has joined
the asa lover: and by friend
the asa lover: I mean
eggrolldogman: they both have their uses
the asa lover: foxestoisbest
*** foxesdoitbest has joined the chat.
the asa lover: foxesdoitbest*
eggrolldogman: oh snapppp
the asa lover: Ok
foxesdoitbest: http://img255.images...knowbestgb4.jpg
the asa lover: So
foxesdoitbest: whoiios
foxesdoitbest: wasnt ment for chat sorry
the asa lover: First of all, egg
eggrolldogman: lmao
eggrolldogman: sup
the asa lover: Can you run hl2.exe on your Mac in OSX?
the asa lover: Hl2.exe
the asa lover: Means
eggrolldogman: it's an exe, so no. If I had an intel mac, I would be able to run it
the asa lover: No you wouldn't
the asa lover: Because hl2.exe
the asa lover: Is the executible
eggrolldogman: what is it anyway?
the asa lover: for Half-Life 2
eggrolldogman: figured as much
the asa lover: And Half-Life 2 is DirectX based
the asa lover: and Macs don't do that
the asa lover: because they suck
the asa lover: So
eggrolldogman: so because macs can't run half life 2, they suck?
the asa lover: Yes
eggrolldogman: oh alright
the asa lover: Half-Life 2 and its mods
the asa lover: like CS
the asa lover: are probably the best games on Windows
the asa lover: XP
the asa lover: And BTW
the asa lover: I have a Mac running OS X 10.4 in my spare room
the asa lover: So I ain't pulling this info outta my ass
the asa lover: So can you tell me any apps/games exclusive to OS X
eggrolldogman: cool. but honestly, I couldn't care less about these games. If that's what you think makes a better operating system, then use windows
eggrolldogman: final cut pro
the asa lover: Mmm...yes
the asa lover: Well
the asa lover: You see
the asa lover: there are better things for Windows
the asa lover: Adobe Premiere
the asa lover: Everything from Avid
eggrolldogman: works for mac too
the asa lover: I know
the asa lover: But
the asa lover: It's better than Final Cut Pro
the asa lover: Less $$
the asa lover: and available for WIndows
the asa lover: because you see
eggrolldogman: nice opinion, but honestly, your opinion about software doesn't convince me
the asa lover: Microsoft has the f*cking courtesy to port apps like Media Player and Office to Mac
the asa lover: but Apple can't give us their apps
eggrolldogman: media player is terrible
eggrolldogman: itunes
the asa lover: Still
the asa lover: iTunes blows
the asa lover: Memory hog
the asa lover: DRM infested
the asa lover: But ok, let's talk about hardware
eggrolldogman: aight
the asa lover: Now, tell me, is it possible to build a Mac from scratch like you can a PC
the asa lover: You know
the asa lover: Buying a mobo, proc, etc...
the asa lover: Putting it together
eggrolldogman: yep
the asa lover: I see
eggrolldogman: http://www.macopz.com/buildamac/
the asa lover: And can said Macs use AMDs?
foxesdoitbest: server not found
the asa lover: Website works for me
foxesdoitbest: nevermind just worked
the asa lover: But yeah, can Macs run on AMD processors?
eggrolldogman: http://www.theinquir...x?article=25843
foxesdoitbest: You need wire cutters and electric tape to make a mac? damn
eggrolldogman: ok
eggrolldogman: I've never built one, I wouldn't know
foxesdoitbest: sounds like its pretty hard to do
the asa lover: Yes, I trust everything I read from The Inquirer
the asa lover: Because they never ever doctor images or make up stories
the asa lover: Never
the asa lover: BTW
eggrolldogman: nice truth to that statement, but meh, I'l find MORE proof if you feel the need to know
the asa lover: k
the asa lover: do it
the asa lover: BTW
the asa lover: Why would you build a G4?
the asa lover: Because if all Macs are moving to the sh*t...excuse me Intel platform, then that'd be redundent
eggrolldogman: obviously the article isn't exactly up to date
eggrolldogman: you simply wanted to know if you could build one
eggrolldogman: you can
the asa lover: Well
the asa lover: If I was building a PC
the asa lover: Which I am in a couple weeks
the asa lover: I wouldn't but a Pentium 3 in it
the asa lover: put*
the asa lover: But if you really want IBM's PPC processors
the asa lover: They're abundant on computer building sites
the asa lover: not
the asa lover: and it's funny that Newegg.com has a section for "Mac only" memory
eggrolldogman: obviously building isn't as popular as doing it with windows. but it's still irrelevant to which operating system is better
the asa lover: Not really
the asa lover: Like I'm going to spend $1,199 on a 17-inch iMac
the asa lover: Good luck with that
the asa lover: x1600 graphics?
the asa lover: sh*tty
the asa lover: Only 8x DVD-writing?
the asa lover: sh*tty
the asa lover: Only 160GB hard drive?
the asa lover: sh*tty
the asa lover: Only 1GB of memory?
the asa lover: sh*tty
the asa lover: And let's not forget that it is an all-in-one
eggrolldogman: lmao, dude, if you're going to inject personal opinion into everything you say, what's the point in talking to you?
the asa lover: So if you want to upgrade those sh*tty components
the asa lover: It's as easy as taking your Mac
the asa lover: Throwing it away
the asa lover: And buying another one
the asa lover: A 160GB hard drive is f*cking sh*tty, good luck storing all your apps like Final Cut Pro on there
the asa lover: And the "movies" you make with them
eggrolldogman: I have final cut, the entire abobe suite and many other apps which don't even come close to filling my drive
eggrolldogman: which is only 80 gigs
the asa lover: I could build a PC with twice as good components and a 19-inch monitor for way less than $1200
eggrolldogman: of course we've never heard of external drives and dvds either
the asa lover: External drives?
eggrolldogman: most PC moniters such anyway
the asa lover: lmao
eggrolldogman: eh?
the asa lover: Yeah, external drvies are annoying as hell, every time you let them stop they take like 10 seconds to spin up and write-to anyway
the asa lover: And Dvds?
the asa lover: PC monitors suck?
eggrolldogman: I store most of my movies on dvds, never had trouble with external drives, and mac moniters look much better than PC ones
the asa lover: Yes, 19'' LCDs with DVI input and 2mb response suck
eggrolldogman: they do
the asa lover: No
the asa lover: Sarcasm
eggrolldogman: Yes
the asa lover: Not really
eggrolldogman: alright, but I think they do such, and since I'm stubborn, my opinion cannot change in any way, shape or form
foxesdoitbest: Lol, look at these cutting edge mac graphics
foxesdoitbest: http://images.apple....ldstoneshot.jpg
eggrolldogman: that's a game creator from 2002
the asa lover: roflzz
eggrolldogman: idiot
foxesdoitbest: So, CS 1.6 had better graphics 7 years ago
eggrolldogman: um, did I just say it was a game creator?
the asa lover: Well sherlock
foxesdoitbest: it still sucks
eggrolldogman: I love how you guys base an argument on operating systems on software
the asa lover: That's what this argument is about!
foxesdoitbest: lol
foxesdoitbest: http://www.macgamest...CFQRbFQod-2z7Uw
foxesdoitbest: Watch out mac, You ca nbuy Scrabble!
eggrolldogman: probably most/all of those games work for windows
eggrolldogman: so what's your point?
the asa lover: Lets see egg, Mac processors are slow and the computers are un-upgradable and expensive
eggrolldogman: processors are slow - what? un-upgradeable - don't need to, it works.
the asa lover: The only reason Apple created Boot Camp was to allow idiots who purchase Macs to use the extreme wealth of software available for Windows because of the extreme lack of it for OS X
eggrolldogman: expensive - compariable windows computers are the same price
the asa lover: That's why we build
the asa lover: Because we're not pee brained idiots who buy Dells
the asa lover: but we still want to play games
the asa lover: So we don't buy Macs either
eggrolldogman: if you want a gaming machine, get a windows computer, I don't see why there's a point to that argument
the asa lover: Yes, but Windows can do everything OS X can do and more
the asa lover: So why waste your money on Macs?
eggrolldogman: because they're good computers that are built well, don't get sh*t viruses, and work
the asa lover: Oh that reminds me
the asa lover: You wanna know why Macs don't have viruses?
the asa lover: http://www.ctrlaltde....php?d=20060513
eggrolldogman: let me guess, the no one uses them argument?
the asa lover: Yep
eggrolldogman: haha, good for me then
eggrolldogman: I don't care
foxesdoitbest: make has virsues
foxesdoitbest: mac***
eggrolldogman: er, no not rlly
the asa lover: Yes they do
foxesdoitbest: yea, really
eggrolldogman: unless you're talking about that one worm
foxesdoitbest: no
eggrolldogman: which was crushed anyway in a security update
foxesdoitbest: Admin iPod Virus
the asa lover: Oh yeah that too
eggrolldogman: how is an ipod a mac os x computer?
the asa lover: How does a f*cking MP3 PLAYER GET A VIRUS
eggrolldogman: even PSPs get viruses
eggrolldogman: meh
the asa lover: And why was Apple setting them up on Windows if they know it's "so insecure"
eggrolldogman: setting them up?
foxesdoitbest: "Apple shipped a small number of Video iPods after September 12th 2006 that contained a Windows virus known as RavMonE.exe. Macintosh users who use Bootcamp and have their iPod connected th"
foxesdoitbest: at meet the above requirements should scan with Windows AntiVirus software,
the asa lover: That's because the PSP is more of a computer per se than the iPod
foxesdoitbest: http://www.macvirus....news_detail/118
eggrolldogman: that's not a mac virus though so...
the asa lover: Yes well, the people on Windows who get viruses are probably, like I said, the stupid ones who buy from Dell and probably should own a computer at all, Mac or PC
foxesdoitbest: "With Apple's latest release of Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) along came the first security issue that effected the Apple portion of the operating system directly."
the asa lover: Can't find the server at Macvirus.org
the asa lover: That's because when you have less than 10% of computers running OS X, you occasionally get a hacker with no life who decides to make a virus or two for it
eggrolldogman: the widget thing was never exploited anyway
eggrolldogman: and was fixed >_>
the asa lover: So what do you use your Mac for?
eggrolldogman: internets, photoshop, video editing, music (don't have an mp3 player of any sort), flash animation, school reports, one game (lol).
the asa lover: And the game is...
the asa lover: ?
eggrolldogman: crack attack. works for linux and windows too, btw.
the asa lover: Please don't say World of Warcraft
eggrolldogman: lol
the asa lover: Ok
eggrolldogman: naw most games I have are small and not very commercial
foxesdoitbest: "According to antivirus firm Symantec, Macarena was discovered last Thursday and has infected fewer than 50 machines. Macarena has a very poor replication mechanism and is unlikely to cause problems for the majority of Mac users."
eggrolldogman: not really a computer gamer (for obvious reasons
foxesdoitbest: There still are virses for mac
eggrolldogman: that argument seems to back up what I've said though >_>
foxesdoitbest: No, i proved there still are viruese for mac
foxesdoitbest: you said there were none
eggrolldogman: I said not really, because there was noting widespread
foxesdoitbest: Becsue the virsues programms know nobody uses mac's so they dont make viruese for them
foxesdoitbest: and they fell bad for the mac users
the asa lover: So I use my PC for: Gaming, school papers, school presentations, school spreadsheets, making 3d maps, photoshopping, music, movies, pictures, the internet, communication, maintaining my website, coding, news, reading, and pr0n
foxesdoitbest: for buying macs
eggrolldogman: pr0n ftw
the asa lover: indeed
foxesdoitbest: i use mine for the last thing in that list
the asa lover: I heard there was an application for OS X
the asa lover: Called iPorn
foxesdoitbest:
foxesdoitbest: that would be something mac WOULD do
foxesdoitbest: i bet they are looking at that saying "Thats a good idea"
eggrolldogman: lmao that's great
foxesdoitbest: exactly what Apple's saying
eggrolldogman: what are they saying?
foxesdoitbest: "Thats Great"
eggrolldogman: I just thought the ad was funny >_>
foxesdoitbest: Apple doesnt
eggrolldogman: that's great, being an expression
eggrolldogman: oh ok
eggrolldogman: thank's for telling me
foxesdoitbest: They are going to plauge the world with that
eggrolldogman: why was apple compared to sony?
foxesdoitbest: idk
foxesdoitbest: does it look like i made the ad?
eggrolldogman: you guys looking forward to vista?
foxesdoitbest: yes
the asa lover: No
the asa lover: Well
foxesdoitbest: yes, after 6 months
the asa lover: I give the hackers five or six months with it
eggrolldogman: lol
eggrolldogman: this guys a douche but I laffed:
foxesdoitbest: that video is of poor quility
foxesdoitbest: spelled wrong ...
eggrolldogman: you didn't even watch it >_>
foxesdoitbest: Sour Grapes?
foxesdoitbest: WTF
eggrolldogman: english language much?
the asa lover: Wow
foxesdoitbest: This guys a fag
the asa lover: That guy is making Windows look bad
eggrolldogman: must be hard to do that lmao!
the asa lover: LOL
the asa lover: Must be hard to make OS X look bad
the asa lover: I mean
the asa lover: Not only does a lot of software not work for it
eggrolldogman: yeah man, no one uses mac, no games, and can't be upgraded!
the asa lover: But things crash in it like a motherf*cker
eggrolldogman: lolno
eggrolldogman: but either wayyy
eggrolldogman: vista looks sooo great rite???
the asa lover: not really
foxesdoitbest: yea
the asa lover: No
the asa lover: It looks like sh*t
eggrolldogman: lol
the asa lover: DRM insfested
the asa lover: sluggish
eggrolldogman: you use the beta?
the asa lover: That's why we're giving the hackers six months to make it ftw
the asa lover: No I didn't
the asa lover: So
the asa lover: You have anything else to defend OS X?
eggrolldogman: it rox.
eggrolldogman: can't beat that statement!
the asa lover: How come?
the asa lover: How come is rox?
the asa lover: it*
the asa lover: waiting...
eggrolldogman: I like the look of the computer, graphics-wise, easy to use, doesn't crash, runs pretty much all software that I need.
the asa lover: Doesn't crash
the asa lover: That's a good one
eggrolldogman: yours does?
the asa lover: My Mac crashes almost every time I use it
the asa lover: I have every update installed
eggrolldogman: G5?
the asa lover: Yes
foxesdoitbest: My computer has never crashed
eggrolldogman: neither has mine
foxesdoitbest: My graphics own yours
the asa lover: Whenever I shut down the screen turns grey and a message appears
eggrolldogman: your graphics?
eggrolldogman: what message?
the asa lover: You need to shut down your computer
the asa lover: In like three languages
the asa lover: Oh and sometimes iTunes, Safari, Firefox, etc...all crash randomly
eggrolldogman: oh that message. You'll need to fix some hardware then
eggrolldogman: bring it to an apple store
the asa lover: Eugh
the asa lover: I never want to go into one of those again
eggrolldogman: lol
the asa lover: Because since every thing is made out of f*cking glass, I don't want to break one of the staircase steps and pay $15000 to Apple
the asa lover: So they can replace it
eggrolldogman: ok...
the asa lover: Because everything is overpriced @ Apple
eggrolldogman: if you have a warrenty fixing is free >_>
the asa lover: Actually I'd rather throw the Mac in the trash and just get a PC because it'd probably be better
the asa lover: OS X is the New Jersey of operating systems
eggrolldogman: since you're bias against the operating system for no reason, there's nothing I can do to "defend" a system
eggrolldogman: arguing with you people gets no where
the asa lover: I do have a bias against it
foxesdoitbest: "you people" ?
the asa lover: It sucks; nothing is compatible
eggrolldogman: blatent mac haters in general
the asa lover: And the stuff that is
eggrolldogman: false
the asa lover: Is available for Windows
eggrolldogman: over 12K apps for mac
eggrolldogman: more than enough for me and my purposes
the asa lover: WOW
the asa lover: 12,000 applications
eggrolldogman: I honestly don't care if they work for windows
the asa lover: Over 100,000 for Windows
eggrolldogman: that's, most of those apps being useless and worthless
the asa lover: Not really
eggrolldogman: but who cares about that?
eggrolldogman: here's a nice article: http://www.macnewswo...tory/38632.html
the asa lover: What's to say most of your Mac apps aren't useless and worthless
eggrolldogman: most probably are
eggrolldogman: I don't have 12000 apps on my computer
eggrolldogman: I have like 150
foxesdoitbest: The guy who wrote that article not only looks like a retard, but is
the asa lover: Yes
the asa lover: Wikopedia.org
eggrolldogman: lol @ not reading
the asa lover: Windows/XP
foxesdoitbest: "Windows/XP"
foxesdoitbest: Lol
foxesdoitbest: Windows Xp
the asa lover: Totally unretarded Mac user
eggrolldogman: because just because he's a mac user, means his facts aren't true
the asa lover: We're not saying that
eggrolldogman: then try reading the article
the asa lover: We're saying he's a f*cking retard
the asa lover: Who happens to use Macs
the asa lover: Look at his picture
the asa lover: Does he look intelligent to you?
foxesdoitbest: Hell no
the asa lover: I wouldn't trust ANYTHING that guy writes
eggrolldogman: meh, your ad hominem arguments are boring
eggrolldogman: I gtg
*** eggrolldogman has left the chat.

Chris, you're the fanboy.....

What I got from reading that is that you had your mind made up, and you weren't really arguing you were just talking and taunting.

Go f*ck yourself. You don't know anything about computers, you just spew sh*t that other people feed you. No, you can't run HL2.exe on OSX, are you an idiot for asking.... YES. You can, however, run OSX & Windows & Linux on the new macs....

And if you don't want to buy one, don't.... you could make that argument with somebody that has an E-machine... sh*tty HD, sh*tty V-Card... etc

And just so you know, people don't buy macs to play games, or to make a custom pc. They buy them because they have little or no viruses, the OS is stable (based on FreeBSD, go look it up f*ckhead) and THEY WORK. 99% of people don't want to RMA their sh*tty 3rd party parts to some online shop, they want the f*cking thing to work outa the box... MS Windows is a sh*tty OS, it just happens to have the majority of the market share, and the majority of the software titles.

And your argument about whether or not OSX runs on an AMD? You don't have a f*cking clue how a processor works do you? The new OSX is an x86 arch os, same as XP, and EVERY OTHER APP THAT RUNS ON AMD OR INTEL MACHINES.

Once again, take shadows dick out of your ass long enough to pay attention fanboy.

EDIT: ALL major media organizations (graphics, art, newspapers, even movies) use macs... PHOTOSHOP is a mac product that was ported to the PC. And you think they're the same.... They develop the mac version first.

monster thank you for typing everything i was thinking. Its seriously frustrating hearing people that "know" everything smack talk about macs.

It has gotten to the point that the people who talk with this much disdain for mac or OSX seem retarded. If i could play all the games i wanted on my mac i would use OSX 100% of the time.

GG fanboy, or maybe its ignorant fanboy. Im not sure which.

While I tend to agree with you that PCs do work pretty well, I have quite a few problems with them (especially mine but that's just because it's like 5 years old, i dont like my friends' either) and overall I think Macs are more worth what you're paying for.
Seriously, who here is going to buy the $450 PC? THEY SUCK! And their low price is one of the only good things going for them. The Mac, while usually more expensive is much better all around performance.
While I didn't have time to read your entire conversation, I do look forward to doing so later because I am still open to new possibilities and am curious to hear other people's input.
If I had more time I would truly list my reasons of why I like and dislike both types, but the fact is, I don't have the time. So there!

ok, ok. i can solve this conundrum for everyone:

buy a mac to look at porn and general web surfing.

build a pc which is 3 times more efficient of said porn mac (at everything except for porn viewing or illegal downloading) for 1/2 the price. just don't don't look at porn or ebay, as apparently microsoft hates that.

win/win as long as a good $5k isn't considered a loss.

Im sorry, but all of that is the truth... defending windows=lolz.. all that it has going for it is that most games are developed for it.. thats about the only plus side of windows.. Everything else, security, stability, etc.. linux has it beat without even a contest... never used a mac.. but it is somewhat similar to linux..

Throwing my .02 in
I've run OSX on my desktop (when it was an athlon64 3800X2). It was fine. They even cracked drivers etc. for most PC hardware at teh time.

Problems with OSX:
Memory management blows. It actually may be worse than windows, especially with multiple apple-written programs (they have shared libraries that are then loaded into memory for each program...)
everything has an annoying 'i' before it
No right mouse button on mac products (I'm sorry, the mighty mouse blows. It doesn't register either click half the time) so the OS is set up around a click and ctrl+click interface..
closing a program doesn't close it on almost all programs
to eject anything you drag it to the trash
especially awkward for disks, usb drives. to me dragging to trash = formatting
Everyone sets up wonderful areas of the screen for expose (amazing, btw), and the dashboard etc. I always hit them by accident
No DirectX support (duh)
Some upgrades are tough due to driver support (just be careful when buying. I've upgraded CPUs, memory, video and HDs on macs. they are f*ckING BEAUTIFUL on the inside! I <3 their case designers (except for iMacs.))

Big plusses
Often faster (especially with Adobe products and lots of graphics programs)
Unix terminal (Huzzah!)
They are more secure (although not infallible Especially due to PEBCaK)
Easy to learn first (having watched my grandparents try to click on things and right click 10 times, 1 button does have its advantages)
Just kind of works
Have you ever taken apart a powermac or mac pro? SO HAWT on the inside. Everything is perfectly cabled and ducted... /drool
Solid hardware options, too (Quad proc machines available!)
actually USEFUL widgets (weather + translation + graphic calc anyone?)
Expose!!!

Personally, I won't get a mac anytime soon. 2 things I really like (OCing and Gaming) are just easier on PCs. It's a pain to learn a new system inside and out. Those are the only reasons I haven't switched to Macs and Linux. Unfortunately I'm pretty much forced at every turn to use unix/linux for school anyway, so I dualboot. If my laptop supported SSE3 I'd have OSX on it, too. Just isn't my style for my main OS.

I dont think I could have said it better myself monster. Chris, if you actually sat down and did some research you would see a lot of the stuff you are talking about is garbage. Who gives a f*ck if someone likes intel over AMD or a PC over a Mac? Which one is better? It dosent matter. You need to learn to find out things for yourself, and make your own decisions on what you think is right. Dont try and force your opinions down other peoples throats, it dosent get you a whole lot of respect.

Chris, you're the fanboy.....
What I got from reading that is that you had your mind made up, and you weren't really arguing you were just talking and taunting.

Hey, the guy had his mind made up too, he didn't care that we thought Windows was better but he still talked to us about it so whatever.

No, you can't run HL2.exe on OSX, are you an idiot for asking.... YES

That's called sarcasm.

sh*tty HD, sh*tty V-Card

It wasn't about it just having sh*tty parts. It was because it was so expensive and had sh*tty parts.

They buy them because they have little or no viruses, the OS is stable (based on FreeBSD, go look it up f*ckhead)

Yeah, I actually have a Mac myself. Are there a lot of viruses? No. Is it stable? Not really. iTunes, Safari, Firefox, etc... crash randomly and at random times the thing shows a kernal panic message. And BTW I knew what OS X was based on, read it on the Apple website when OS X was released.

MS Windows is a sh*tty OS, it just happens to have the majority of the market share, and the majority of the software titles.

Yes MS Windows is sh*tty. Why? Because it's weak. Because it can be unstable. Because if you want to keep a good speed you have to reformat every x months. But what I'm saying is it > OSX because of software compatibility.

Once again, take shadows dick out of your ass long enough to pay attention fanboy.

I'm getting pretty f*cking tired of you saying that. This had nothing to do with Shadow, he wasn't even on Vent at the time, and I hated Macs long before I joined BoSS. In fact, I bought the Mac after I joined BoSS because I found one cheap and I wanted to see if they really sucked or were good. Biggest waste of money ever.

PHOTOSHOP is a mac product that was ported to the PC. And you think they're the same.... They develop the mac version first.

And you assume I don't know that? Why not. What I'm saying is now PS is on the PC and why buy a Mac when Windows can do everything from Adobe, Avid, other editing companies, etc...and play games. Why waste the money?

I think you all should shut the fuck up, and besides, everyone has their own opinion, Mac's hardly suck, if you compare them to the fuck ups on windows, its the same type of shit, where 90% of the time the user is at fault, thats the only reason people say windows sucks, because you have the option to fuck it up, and some idiot just had to click that button, twice, for that matter.

let them find out for themselves how dumb they are, don't act all cocky because they do not follow your choices.

And don't diss the inq, they got some pretty cool ITT posters on their site, which is why I read it, and love every bit of it, including the sarcasm and bashing of companies.

I gotta give props to that guy though, I'm surprised he kept his head up and laughed at you n00bz for trying to say Dr.Bluescreen is better then his precious, but NOBODY SHALL TAKE HIS PRECIOUS I TELL YOU!

in regards to which os is better its really irrelevant since the software is what makes it good, and in that regard each has its own strengths. If talking about which one looks better i really coundlt care less, and expoxe is on windows to (maybe its called something else but it is on windows). And chriss, you were being biased which always kills your argument and makes you look bad.

The thing I hate is that it seems EVERY asshole that owns a mac won't STFU about it. They love their macs sooo much it's soo much better than PC, look what it does right out of the box ewww and awww at it with me! f*cking morons.

I did Mac phone support (I'm not proud of that) for a year, and let me tell you they ain't all that. Daughterboard blowups, unrecoverable OS crashes and general hardware failures are the norm. The only reason you don't hear ppl b*tching about it is because NOBODY f*cking OWNS THEM.

Macs don't suck, most mac owners do.

I'm agreeing with Shadow that 90% of the time, it's the users fault. I've seen people f*ck up Macs just as much as they f*ck up Windows. I've seen viruses completely destroy Macs just as easily as they destroy Windows. The problem is, with Windows being so dominant on the market share, when something happens to it, it looks really really bad. For Macs, not so much, not as many people use them.

As far the Mac FanBoys go, they are some of the worst in terms of fanboys. Constantly touting how superior the Mac products are, and how superior they are for using them. They are utterly obnoxious in every sense of the word and should be lined up for a firing squad.

and expoxe is on windows to (maybe its called something else but it is on windows).

I've only found crappy expose look-alikes for windows that are memory hogs, unfortunately (there may be better ones out now, but as of 6 months ago they all sucked). The Mac one is just so smooth and fast due to it being built in...

I can't help but agree. Somehow, being seperated from teh rest of the computing world and initiated into their white plastic and brushed aluminum world they seem to forget how to compare things reasonably. The only worse fans I've seen than mac fans are alienware fans. :D (guess what? sh*tty hardware, sh*tty price!)
I've seen/dealt with tons of mac hardware problems in my day, too (not phone support, jsut lots of friends with macs. :D) It's all the same sh*t that everyone else gets (well, except for my problems, but those are usually my fault. ;)) I've also had way more friends switch to using macs than switch back, usually for laptops while keeping a windows desktop for gaming. I've seriously thought about that myself. I mean, I can't game on my laptop now, why not have a laptop with better battery life and slightly more reliable (I think a well kept mac is slightly more reliable than a well kept pc. If either are not maintained then they go to sh*t) computer for about the same price? The only thing keeping me from doing so is the lack of a second mouse button on the touchpad. And I figure I can get a nice PC laptop and jsut install OSX when I want to play with it now...

Medel that is exactly what i did, then convinced pizzack to do. I have my desktop comp thats is still quite decent and pimp. About 2 years ago i bought an iBook to use for work and other random stuff. Personally i think it is a great deal for a non gamer laptop(game on a laptop LOL). Yes i find OSX to be a memory hog, but that is also the same thing that makes OSX so fast. Keeping images of the program in memory allows for faster instance startups.

One thing that really impresses me is the fact that each time a new version of OSX comes it actually seems to make older hardware run faster. gotta love that.

As i always say, i really dont see myself owning only a mac and not a PC, BUT i dont see myself not owning a mac.

The laptops are sick for a good price.

THANK YOU. That's what I was saying with the whole hl2.exe and my other post in this topic. If these games and sh*t were on OS X and not Windows, would I use OS X? Probably. And if Macs were much more popular, I think we'd be able to build them like we do PCs and sh*t. But it doesn't and I don't, and it's going to stay that way until Apple makes their sh*t more attractive to more groups of people.
