The warranty and tech support.

BFG has a lifetime warranty with 24/7 toll free tech support. Whereas ASUS has only a 2 or 3 yr warranty with non toll free tech support, and it isn't 24/7.

BFG cards will sometimes come with an OC as well, whereas ASUS ones will not. If you try to OC the ASUS card to where it matches up with BFG, you void your warranty.

Agreed, Asus is always good with Returns and just normally overall better products. Same with BFG, XFX, and Saphire. I recommend staying away from HIS Tech Cards and Janton though, had a HIS Tech 1800xt and compared to an Asus 1800xt there was a notable performance increase with the Asus.

First link takes you to a post where computer builders, (with quite a few posts), all sit down and talk about the BFG cards being great.

The first link took me to someplace that said BFG and XFX suck, get eVga. Try again.
Most people who didn't like xfx had 7900GTs which the first batch for pretty much everyone was crap due to (if my memory serves) bad memory controllers and was pretty much crap across the board..

I've still had great luck with evga, pny, and xfx, and pretty good luck wiht bfg (1/4 failed). The only cards that I've had consistently fail on me are BBATIs for some reason..

*edit* here's one for ya, ice: http://forums.extrem...ad.php?t=245664

One thing to remember as well is that there are many ways a human eye sees things... this a good site for finding things out like this pertaining to different setting for seeing things http://www.100fps.co..._humans_see.htm

One misconception by gamers is they think that more FPS means better gaming...not always true as that site shows

I don't know what can be seen in a specific series of frames, but more FPS means the sooner you will see minor details. Good link nonetheless.
