and some of us choose not to use vent when our current microphone makes extremely loud noises for fear of shadow passing out noise violation bans..hes done it b4 lol

or when people talk to much when u ARE trying to play the gm. lol most of the time i am on vent tho...

In reply to shadows opening statement: im on vent as often as i can which is all the time other than when im playing cs because when i have vent open it makes my ping jump to above 150 periodicly. but on a side not i noticed that vent has quite a few sections for other games such as warcraft DotA, guild wars, and battlefield 2. now i know that people play bf2 but i've never seen any1 in the warcraft 1 of the guild wars and i was just wondering wether or not any1 plays either of these games.

obviously, but regardless, buying a mic isn't a hard task to accomplish and should be done, hell, just skip one 12 pack and ur set.

I have not had a beer in 3 weeks, been trying to catch up on bills after being laid off for several weeks, and just learned last friday I am being laid off for another 2-3 weeks,I have been on vent in the past, but my fat ass brother destroyed my mic before I moved out.I plan on having another one soon, but it's tough when I am a month behind on my truck, and my insurance is borderline cancelled.

Yeah you've just been on at the wrong times. There are quite a few vent users who play Dota. I was in the channel yesterday playing a game with Sniper and Exl. Guild Wars isn't used as much but it is used.

I doubt he's starting sh*t, you just have the mentallity of a 14 year old as far as ventrilo is concerned lol (that was not meant to be offensive ).

Some people also like actually concentrating on the game and not being distracted by all the stuff that is going on in ventrilo.

Got mine for $15 at office depot!
Vent is fun, everyone who can afford a mic should get one and log on. Unless there are like 10 ppl in the CS channel it shouldn't bother you too much... Unless Stoned Hatter or Inertia are on (I'm gonna kill that bird...)
