So i build a new hd from scratch, took me at least 10 hours. So all the main parts in and i got this water cooling tube for the system to keep it quiet and running smoothly especially when i overclock my 8800 gt geforce card. But i have a problem with the water cooling throughout the system. The tubes are somewhat blocking my psu and as i turn it on, he started to get real noisey and bam the psu starts smoking. I had two fans to go with it and they got damage in the system. So can anybody tell me what can cause that because the tubes it self wasn't even blocking the air process or it was something else?

1. You made an hd yourself? impressive
2. PSU smoking? RUN! RUN FOR THE HILLS!
3. Took you 10 hours?

That psu i bought was 800 dollars, with 800 watts cranking. Maybe it mulfuction because it started smoking and next thing i know BOOM!. I saw flashes in the system( my hd is clear you can through it) and turn it off. My two fans got damage and audio card got pwn.

Are you kidding me? Can we see a link to that PSU? The tubes shouldnt block the PSU at all in a normal case. Show us some pictures. And BTW, how did you build a hard drive by yourself?

didn't buy it from this site, i went to a gaming computer store and ask them for psu with 800 watts that can help out the 8800 gtx geforce card. Cost around 800 dollars, but this is the site i found it on.. even though you need 11000 watts for 8800 gtx geforce to run smoothly

So basicly you paid $800 for a $200 power supply? An it burned up? Send it back to the manufacturer or computer store you bought it from.

This is so f*cking illiterately typed that I refuse to even ATTEMPT to comprehend this heap of garbage. I don't understand any of your problems, f*ck.

"and about me building the hd, iam a hd developer for microsoft i build customize hd for a living"

Since when does Billy Gates need someone to build Hard Drives for him? A HD???? Shouldn't it be AN HD?

"even though you need 11000 watts for 8800 gtx geforce to run smoothly"

11000 WATTS!!! HOLY HELL! This STILL doesn't make any sense.

Return your PSU I guess, order a real one online and stop believing these fibs about needing 11KWs to run one GPU. All you need is maybe an OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU. AMPERAGE PEOPLE AMPERAGE!!!

Redo your water cooling, I don't see a reason why your tubes should even be close to your PSU. Watch my post get edited for being a prick but come on man.

And btw, the requirement for 2 8800 gtx cards is 750 watt, but thats just the minimum, but 850 is more than enough. Plus, the better 800-850watt power supplies are around $250, so yours thats a little on the cheap side and not so uber awesome... try this: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817153043

This bad boy right here could easily run one, if not 2 GTX's without issues. One of the most efficent PSU's out there. Corsair 620W
