Nice, it's pretty much the computer i built a few weeks ago... you got 2 more gigs of that ram than me, and you got the e6700, but it now costs the same as the e6600 used to... that computer will pwn anything.. enjoy

Considering the E6400 and E6300 overclock to 3.2ghz on stock volts with ease, I wouldnt even waste my money on such a processor. Got mine running at 3.2Ghz now, but i hvae plans for 3.5ghz. Nice rig tho, should last you a while.

cancel it, if you just placed the order, they havent shipped it yet, its saturday. and yeah get that 150gb one. I have the 74gb version, and i friggen love it. Also, SLI dosent "use ram" Windows XP and your bios only will be able to utilize about 3.25gb of that unless you use a 64bit OS and set some stuff in the bios. That fact and the fact I have no money is why I only have 2gb

That mobo rocks... it's pretty straight forward, you go into bios, advanced shipset features or something like that, and its all there...

It sucks, terrible piece of garbage, kidding.

Nothing wrong with Windows XP64, only problems I've encountered were when running IE 32bit.

That's not a problem at all. Your not going to see a difference between 2 and 4 gigs except benchmarks and virtually 2-10 FPS in games.

the nvidia 64bit drivers are the real problem though, janton. and SLI has nothing to do with the motherboards memory.

Considering the recent price cuts, there's not too much of a reason not to get the processor he chose; esp since money isn't too big of an issue. the e6700 can overclock to 4.0 with relative ease. i wouldn't call it a waste at all.

Oh, he got an 8800gtx, I didn't even click on the damn link last night.
Weren't they supposed to fix those for 64/vista several errr months ago?

EDIT: He could just take 2 gigs out, work with XP 32 until the drivers are fixed around 2009.

just ordered the right hard drive from new egg... i hope they let me return the other one... it was too late to cancel the order...

i am confused about this xp64 bit stuff which i know nothing about. i have xp service pack 2 that came with my dell xps 3 years ago... do i just install a 64 bit update, or do i need to buy a new copy of xp to get a 64 bit version??? i refuse to get vista yet until it works.

also another question... can i use one of my dell hard drives in this comp or can they only be used in dell computers???
gay!

Yes, you can use a "Dell" hard drive but it will most likely be a off-ish brand like Maxtor or Quantum but of course you can swap it over to your new computer. I honestly don't know if there is a Windows XP 64 "Upgrade Edition" but if not just download and/or buy a copy of Windows XP 64, can't be to expensive and if you spent the money on the extra RAM you probably want to utilize all of it.

XP 64bit is a different version of windows XP. I dont think you can just upgrade to it. You would either have to acquire or buy a new copy that is the 64 bit version. Also, If you dont know what it is, I suggest you dont even bother with it.
