If I had that extra one I would have. But I sold that at Quakecon to a guy with a 6200 graphics card, for about 100$ + I keep his old card for my HTPC at home. Fair trade, helped out someone that couldnt afford a nice videocard and I got $$$ plus something I needed in return.

I like my SLI 8800's too much to sell one of them.

I have an AMD 5600+ Dual Core running at 2.8Ghz. I run one 256mb Asus EN7600GT GPU, i run every game with max settings, highest everything, and i never get lag or anything. So for the 185$ canadian you can spend on an AMD 6000+ running at 3.0Ghz and get good performance for anything you need it for, why spend the extra 900$ for an intel equivalent.

I was running an AMD 64X2 4200+ back in the day, no complaints there. I'm about to be running a 2.4 Core 2 Duo... so I'll let you know after I see how that puppy handles.

I run an IBM 5150.

Brand new amazing gaming PC, got it cheap too, search for it.

EDIT:

After seeing the results, I don't want to see an AMD v. intel debate...

f*ckers.

I still have my Pentium D 2.66GHZ, along with a X1600 Pro runs BF2 and CSS all max settings without any Lag(except when 50+ players are on).

In a tie, I'll definitely go for AMD. Intel is just crushing them right now... :( Main desktop intel, secondary AMD, laptop intel..

I have an Intel right now, and it's given me no problems. I'm with Zeke though, biases be damned, just get the best price/performance ratio.
