Guitar Hero 3 is just a few weeks away, but for those of you with 360's who don't want to wait that long, you can download the demo without buying the lame new Tony Hawk game. It's really easy, the longest part is torrenting it.

First off, you'll need a dvd/cd burner, and a dvd or cd-r with at least 400MB of space. The demo is about 397 MB

Here's how you do it:

1. Go here: http://www.demonoid....387795/9789125/
2. Download the torrent.
3. Download a program capable of burning the ISO file onto a disc if you don't all ready have one. I used img burn (found here: http://www.imgburn.com/ ). It worked incredibly well for me.
4. Extract the .RAR file, and then using img burn, find and burn the .ISO file onto your DVD or CD-R.
5. Insert the burned disc into your 360 and turn it on (The 360 will recognize the disc as a "Mixed Media Disc.").
6. Go over to demos, and select the Guitar Hero 3 demo.
7. Rock out!

A few notes about the demo. It takes a little while to load initially, and it's a timed demo, so after you've played about 4 or 5 songs it'll boot you out and you'll have to start it up again. Also, and I'm not sure this matters, but when I burned the disc I burned it at 4x speed, and the disc I used was just a standard 700 MB CD-R.

I could be wrong, but isn't it against Boss policy to post stuff like this directly on the forums?

Also to note: If you're willing/have the free time to do this just so you can play a "DEMO" of a game coming out in a few weeks, then you seriously need to get out of the house more then once a week.

It could be, and if so, somebody please remove it and/or tell me.

Thanks Zeke. Because it takes about 20 minutes to do I must not get out much.

The demo is definitely pretty sick. Though I'm really unlikely to ever buy the game. I'd rather just wait on Rock Band.

Edit: And yeah, that trick you posted takes like no time, at all, to do. I fail horribly to see how it constitutes having no life.
