This morning i tried to log into servers 1 and 2, i got the same error both times. does anybody know what this means?

This problem seems to be cropping up for more than a few people since the update. I'm guessing the VAC2 main authentication server is being overloaded. Maybe they didn't expect so much traffic? No idea how to fix it though.. exiting/restarting steam seems to be a common thing to do.. could still take many tries to get it to work though..

Happened to me. dont restart steam it usually doesnt work with this error. Log out of your steam accout and then log back in. You can do so by opening steam then click settings and then log in as different user. But instead enter your usual username and pass. Then you should be good to go.

The main authentication server is being overloaded. You just have to wait until it isn't so busy.Nothing you can do about it, i had same problem too. Just keep trying until it connects...
