Sygate makes a half decent firewall, I've used it a few times, doesn't beat a router firewall but its fairly good and nicely configurable.

and just remember to configure kaspersky to disable their "network protection" or else ur net wont connect...

Click here to see how to configure it

zonealarm is pretty decent. A bit technical and hard to understand at first but it is pretty thorough.

If you have high speed internet your best bet is going to be with a router. It acts as it's own firewall blocking anything insecure from harming your computer. If not, i heard that Zonealarm does a pretty good job as well. Let us know!!! :dork:

yeah i mean i'd just bite the bullet and spend a few bucks and get a lynksys router. defly worth it for a firewall. i just use that in combination w/windows. what was the problem that made you reformat??

My internet is normally at 15mbps, but i've seen it go up to 28 mbps on a good day.

Well now you can get a wired router for pretty cheap online. It would be cheaper than getting a program to do it for you. That is unless you acquired a "special" version. HEHE
