Over the weekend my computer crashed. I had to reinstall operating system. Xp wouldn't install. Tech Support was stumped on it.

So i decided to use my vista disc from my laptop.

ANyways. to make a long story short.

i've spent hours trying to figure it out

If i roll back to old drivers, my FPS in source is arond 11. WTF.

And if i use the most up to date catalyst drivers from ATI.

THe source screen loads real quick then crashes.
:(

ugh. anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

I hear ya.

When i went to reinstall Xp on a brand new never formated partition.

I'd enter my VALID brand new serial key. And it would come up saying Invalid Key entered.

Over and over and over. etc.

So i went vista.

now when i try to play source. It just shows the loading screen for a second and crashed to desktop :(
