Got a free 8gb nano from work. and figured that I might as well use it.

Question is what alternative to !Tunes is out there? I hate !Tunes/Real player etc.

Poddox sounds interesting, looks like ituses a simple file structure which is what I want.

What other cool shit is out there for this thing?

Winamp seems to do what I want it to do, so I'm gonna give that a try for now.

Winamp owns for iPod, but if you have problems with it messing with the order of your songs, use this plugin with Winamp.

After I rip out all my itunes music I am looking to switch. Shlonky could you post any issues with winamp and such

its so lightweight that you dont even need to install it...but it is easier to use/faster/free(no ads and spyware sh*t)

also, and very importantly it lets you take the songs on your ipod and rip them to your computer (apple encrypts the songs so you cant unless you use a program like this) It makes it so you can just keep your music on your ipod without killing all your disk space...so you have more diskspace for porn....i mean work...

i have also been very sucessful with winamp also

Same, I just switched too Winamp. Haven't had time to play with it though. What are its advantages?

how about i just plugged in my ipod and herpy itunes just came up saying that i need to update the ipod, so like an idiot i hit yes. It f*ckING DELETED MY ENTIRE f*ckING 10GB OF MUSIC OFF MY IPOD. Its gone..reformatted totally gone
