One of the greatest football players of all time retired yesterday, and as a Packer Backer who has never known another starting quarterback for Green Bay, I am sad to see him go and worried about the future. This is a big loss not only to the Packers but to the NFL in general. Not only was he a great player, but a great sportsman who played solely because he enjoyed the game and it was a part of him. I defy you to find a tougher, more enthusiastic, and/or better sportsman.

Here's to Favre. Football will never be the same (at least not for me).

At least he went out better than Dan Marino did.

I was hoping he would come back for one more season. Favre is the best and he will be missed.

The fact that his last game was losing to my Giants kinda makes it more special to me. I love Favre. Good fight, old man

The glass jaw of football. f*cking plays a game and then hurts himself in practice the following Monday. IDK, we need a good draft.

Favre was my favorite player, and probably biased but the best football player ive seen, in the era of overplayed egotistical, always in trouble with the law players, he stood out as the opposite, and a role model. He was my god and watching him gave me a boner, no homo.

yea but i think he chose a good time to retire
lots of players make the mistake of staying to long and end of retiring with a bad season
but he will be missed

It probably is just a rumor. I doubt he will come back unless Rodgers gets injured.

With that logic and Rodgers being Rodgers, however, he will probably be back by week 3.
