So I've had a Dell XPS Gen 5 (3.2 dual hd) 1gig ram 19" lcd for like 3 years, basic set up but very nice for gaming and finally wanted to update a bit so i picked up:

22" Acer LCD Flat Screen:

2x Ergotron Wall Mount:
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16850000336

2x1 gig Corsair 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200):

I'm figuring I'll start with this and see how it goes, save some money and go for a graphics card and prolly get another gig of ram and update from xp to vista.

Stuff should be delivered in the next few days I'll try and get some pics up.

update from xp to vista.

Do yourself a favor, bro.... stay away from Vista for atleast another year or so. Everyone I know that made the switch has ended up switching back.
They rushed that OS out the door way before it was ready.

not sure what you mean about computers will be sold with XP on it since they already do but i actually love the XPS Gen 5 it hasnt given me a single problem, ive just figured a little tune up(ram)/bigger monitor will make me happy. and the wall mounts will be sweet considering my desk is small as hell.

I guess I wasnt clear enough... If you buy a computer now in dayz IT WILL COME WITH VISTA, but once the contract is up for selling veista they are going to revert back to selling XP with the choice to upgrade to vista version. I hope thats clear enough

No, no manufacturer gives the option of XP because they have a contract with microsoft. If that was the case I wouldnt have brought up what I said.

Vista = Crap sh*t... (for now)

XP = mooch better :tup:

I found that for bioshock; vista ran it about 100 times better... dont know why but it did. Well.. thats when my mobo wasnt fried.... still waiting for that damn thing. Other games run better on vista randomly for me too. Overall though I much perfer xp over vista, well for now at least. I remember how everyone hated xp when it came out. They should can vista though and start anew..
