yup. chopping up ribs with a cleaver.
index finger, on my writing (left) hand.
just below the knuckle.
it was a clean cut, straight through the bone.

I immediately tied off the finger and my hand. my friend grabbed the finger, wrapped it in plasticwrap, and put it in a big cup with ice. we jumped in his ride and went to the ER
they rushed me right into surgery.
I had surgical reattachment- got some wire in my hand, a couple staples, and had my tendons/ligamenrts sewn together. just got home from the hospital an hour ago, cant relax at all cuz they gave me some sh*tty painkillers. luckily my friend is gwtting here in 5 min with an Oxycotin 30mg.

they said since the cleaver was so sharp it made a perfect slice, so it should heal really quickly. they say i should have partial use in a week and full use in a month.


until then im going on a painkiller binge lol.

....not that you would lie about such a thing...pretty f*cked up, and glad they got it back together; have heard that perticular perfect cuts through bone are impossible to put back together. But srsly, pics are needed!

Side note: funniest related moment...at Busch Gardens, watchin a dude cut up BBQ at a side stand...his guiding hand had 3 fingers on it...

Well, at least you did the smart thing and put it in ice and the like. Cutting it off to begin with wasn't the best move, but looks like it'll work out.
