Ok, So the new company I work for has decided that I'm the new IT guy (doh), and I was wondering what kind of backup drives you use to keep your info safe. I was thinking maybe reformatting the hard drive as a raid 1 but that seems drastic. so any help would be appreciated.

I've used this Acronis software to move all files from one drive to the other.I used it in windows and it worked great like 5-6 clicks it was going on its own.I read abunch about this software being one of best and noob friendly!! :)

Backup drives? Don't need them, if you have something that is truely important, keeping it backed up on 3 or more media sources will always ensure atleast 1 of the backups remains safe.
My quickbook files for my business and personal financing are kept on 4 different flash drives. So if more than one gets lost, I have redundency to keep my data safe.
BTW, acronis = win, I use the recovery partition feature everytime i make a new computer for someone. So it's as easy for them to press f10 when their computer isnt feeling well and they are back to fresh install of windows.
