Well, here's the general story.

Two of my best friends have been going out for a year now. The guy is 17, the girl is 16. Anyway, they broke up, because my brother, who is 20, has been talking on the internet with the girl for about a week. They haven't met in real life. So, one of my best friends got royally f*cked over for the third time in two years by a girl, because she decided she liked a guy she hasn't met in real life yet more. Especially with the uh, 20 to 16 age gap, (Considered statuatory rape in new jersey), this kinda makes me really hate my brother.

And even worse, my brother is being immature about it. He's bragging to me everyday "A girl likes me a girl likes me!" because he's obviously the only person it's ever happened to. Knowing that my brother has never had a relationship up until now, and was so desperate that he moved in on someone who's already taken over the internet (He's still breaking the e-confidence barrier, he flirts and stuff online but in real life he's the biggest prude you will ever meet). So, yeah.

Doesn't affect any of you, but I figured this qualifies as enough of a rant for me to let others know about.

Heh, don't think that's the case. Probably one of the nicest and most decent people I know. He's probably not the most confident as far as going for sex or anything would go, but that's probably for the better as far as the relationship went. I couldn't really see the girl agreeing to it anyway.

Pretty much, he went to camp for the summer as job, it's great pay so worth the being away from home, and I guess she couldn't be with him so she dumped him.

Seriously the story sounds a bit too stupid for me. Why would that girl break up with that guy because of trivial online chat? If she really did that there's no reason for your friend to even be upset because that proves she's shallow and stupid ie not for him. So whatever, tell your friend he's got plenty of time to find more girls (ones not as dumb as her). and honestly if i were that girl's ex, i'd be happy we broke up so she could give that poor 20 year old virgin a little love
