thanks man except the problem is that my mom doesnt like to buy sh*t online but at my best buy the sell that gfx card for 140 so its a bit better than buying it online at bestbuy.comGood bad or indifferent, i have no clue. But here is a better price on this cardclick

If you are able to get the new 4850/4870 from AMD, can get the 4850 for as little as 160$ and totally wipes the floor of any current generation videocards, except for the high high ends from nvidia/ati just released.
By far the best bang for the buck.
Totally eat that 8600 alive.

But yeah, a 4850 would rape an 8600, like ScrollLock says. It's a much wiser buy than the 8600. If you don't have 150, honestly wait until you do. If you absolutely can't save that much, tell us what you've got and I'll tell you what the best you can afford is. But the 4850 is totally worth it.

Don't bother with the 8600. Just not worth the money. Also, don't buy it from Best Buy, order online from Newegg, you'll save a ton of money.
