lol damn, well yes Norton blows don't ever use it ever, statistically the best anti-virus is Kaspersky, which is paid for yearly and can be had for anywhere between $20 and $50, I bought it here for $20 but it seems to be even cheaper now, it's fucking amazing and I've been using it for two years.

It's a lot cheaper than if you buy it in store so tell your Mom to stop being paranoid, that site is legit.

I've used NOD32 for almost a year and havn't had any troubles...one slight con would be that your latency might go up a bit when in game, but it hasnt given me enough trouble to figure out wether or not i can turn off the auto-update. And by all means, ignore the wonderfully appealing graphs on the homepage, but understand that its definatley 'up there' on one of the best antivirus programs out there.

Another con would be the price too, so if you dont have the $$$, just go with Kas...definatley not Norton...ugh...

I use TrendMicro. Never had any problems like I did with Norton. Haven't ever used Kaspersky, but that seems to be very popular here.

Trend Micro Antivirus+Antispyware 2008 version 16.10.1079 - 67.28%

Enjoy the ~33% of viruses Trend Micro doesn't catch, Kas-fucking-per-sky.
