yeah employers are tired to taking the hit and being shorthanded by reservests and national guard members getting deployed. I can see both sides of the arguement...but really, stop trying to be part time fags to get the gi bill and just go full time or get the f*ck out. part-time = half-ass

Pepsi's a pretty big company man, they can take it. I see your point with small businesses and local/gov work though.

Bumblebee, Soldier and Sailors Act them. Threaten them with a lawsuit and I'm sure they'll balk. Hey, at least you get them worrying and at best you could win some money and 3 months pay.

Ya know its not really worth it though. I wouldnt want to take the time to try to get anything out of them. Its like talking to a wall. Im not too worried though, it was a entry level position that sucked and had sorry ass management. And people dont realize how hard it is to be a reservist or national guard. Takes alot of time away from work sometimes, but mostly it doesnt. Yes im getting deployed but that doesnt happen but like once every 5 years. (supposed to anyway) Usually its just the one weekend a month and thats it.. other than AT (annual training) which is 2 weeks in the summer. Yet i can see it from there point of view too. When i get back im either going to finish college or see if i cant go active and fly a chopper or something more intresting.

Won't work, they fired him over an attendence issue. Now did they f*ck him over because of his military status, probably, but he will never be able to prove it. LIke you said, Pepsi is a pretty big company and I'm sure they keep a firm on retainer for labor/legal issues.

The economy is getting owned, not you. Tough luck. Try again next year.

Yea, but can he do that if they fired him prior to his deployment? Eh, I don't know the law extremely well, but my understanding was that your position within a company is frozen AFTER your deployment. Oh well.
Good luck to ya
