Couldn't convince him to get a 4870x2
....or anything else for that matter. Better than the 8800gt that was his first choice. He's one of those guys who build one computer so then assumes he knows everything....for example, he wanted "a lot of UPS ports"
Alas I could not change his mind :'(

He doesn't even game much...and I think he only plays WoW. I can only suggest for him but in the end it's him who orders the sh*t. SO EAT ME SCROLL. jkilu

No photo, no point in your post... Give up proof so we may join in on the laughs and mockery of such things.

Anyways the guy emailed me letting me know he did not want any CPU 'tweaking' done, probably because he wants to himself. I took it up to a pathetic 2.8 using the gigabyte software just to see how it worked and ran 3Dmark b4 boxing it up. As I figured tho the software just gimps the timings to make the RAM work rather than upping any kind of voltage. I tested @ 3.4 and it had taken the timings to a ridiculous 10-10-10-28 and dropping the speed to 400mhz or something retarded like that, meh clearly it's still a really nice proc...only 84f degrees with the stock fan isn't too bad. Gigabyte supplies you with nearly a dozen different easy ways to OC anything...but as expected the manual way works a lot better. Other than booting up @ 3.2 using the BIOS [rather than the software] and only bumping the mem voltage once with the smallest increment while sitting in windows for maybe 10 minutes I really dunno what else this Proc can do.
This dude didn't want me to have fun :(
Sorry only one SS, it's 1:30 and I'm tired of sitting in this chair.
And yes Scroll, it is clear that he made a mistake not getting a higher end card...pretty obvious that's whats holding him back in that score :/
Perhaps I'll convince him to let me play around some more so Madhatter has something else to compare/brag his overclock to.
