Yeah it's gonna be awesome lol, finally true spy and engie incentives. They're also adding the better multi-core support from L4D

f that the scout is already overpowered. I like the engy and spy upgrades, the scouts need a major downgrade. There is a problem when you see scouts used on defense.

i also heard (haven't really looked it up to verify) that the demomans sticky's will now be able to be destroyed

Yeah i think it was in the last patch notes where it said the stickies can now be destroyed by any bullet shooting weapon (pistol, shotgun, etc..)

uh I hope that's a server side variable that can be disabled, that makes the demo's stickies pointless.

But yeah it was in the Dec 11 patch:

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Team Fortress 2


The Engineer's teleporters can now be upgraded to level three. It will recharge faster the higher level it is

The Engineer's dispensers can now be upgraded to level three. It will give out metal and heal faster as it is upgraded

Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground or from health cabinets

Some changes to the second part of the first stage of Goldrush to give the attackers more of an advantage

Any weapons that fire bullets (shotguns, sniper's machine gun, heavy's minigun, etc.) can now break apart the Demoman's stickybombs

The icon on the HUD for a person calling for Medic will now give more information to the medic (if the target is low on health, on fire, etc.)

Added an achievement tracker that will allow people to choose specific achievements that they are trying to get

There is now a custom icon for death messages when the player was killed from a critical hit

Added a new particle effect for when a player enters the water

Added smoke to the feet of a rocket jumping soldier

Players will now have some particles swirling around them so other players can see when they are overhealed

haven't played in a long time but scout was my favorite class...maybe i'll reinstall it when the patch comes out

Its a 2 shot kill on stickies (maybe 1 at point blank with a shotgun) and you can't shoot them out of the air either so they aren't completely nerf'd.

Good, I like Demo and all but he was easily the most overpowered class in the game.

I tried the spy/engie buffs last night, wonderful additions to gameplay.

And ya, I agree Chris, the demoman is so OP and boring, I can see why every newb plays it lol.
