Statements like "Enjoy you sh*t Intelfags" crack me up all the time.
I don't care either way, brands mean nothing. But ever since Core 2's, AMD hasn't even come close. Phenom II's look promising, but they are again only barely approaching Intel.

Did you even read my post?Phenom II's look promising, but they are again only barely approaching Intel.
Once again, Phenom II's look nice, but the i7's have been out before the Phenom II's. Also the stock Phenom II is about the same as the i7 920, overclocked to 4.2 its about even with the 965. But lets see some statistics with a i7 at 4.2, that would be a much fairer comparison.
And Sniperwulf, gtfo. I've had several AMD chips back when they were the best (during P4 and Pentium D times).

So just for clarification nov, this is by your logic: you go buy your i7 965 for a grand, i'll stick with a phenom II x4 940 and pay 230. are you getting way more than 4 times the performance? stfu nig.

The Phenom II's are the exception and they are indeed cheaper and about the same level as the i7's.
I seriously can't think of how to make it simpler. If you still cannot comprehend this, may i recommend elementary school education?

Sure you can buy an AMD processor for $40, but buy an Intel Processor for $80 and you'll get way more than double the performance.
A generic statement which implies that an AMD processor which costs less automatically has a worse performance/price ratio.
But okay, by your logic, here's a $40 AMD processor and an $80 Intel processor. Pretty sure that Intel proc doesn't even come close to "doubling the performance".

The advantage for paying a bit more for intel (Once again, prior to the Phenom's, Im comparing Core 2's with the Athlons) was the great overclockability. Sure stock AMD's had a better price/performance ratio, but the Core 2's easily overclock 1Ghz and you can almost reach it even on stock cooling. Most chips easily go to 4.2, while the AMD's, not so much. The Phenom II went to 6.3 which is very impressive. I might have looked at getting one if i was planning to upgrade.
The computer market always goes in cycles, AMD is the best for awhile, then Intel, then AMD again... It always repeats. Same thing with ATI/Nvidia. Looks like with the Phenom II's AMD is back up to the top.
