I was just banned (I assume permanently) by an admin by the name of Holocaust or something. After slaying me 5-6 times without saying anything he then proceeded to tell me that my rates were to low.

my rates were: rate 25000
cl_updaterate 66
cl_cmdrate 40

i check my rates all of the time when i play. these settings probably are a result of another server i joined (I was only on the boss server for 5-10 minutes)
Holocaust told me that he checked my rates and said they were set at 1. Well, its impossible because the lowest server limit is what i had. Anyway, i fixed my rates to : rate 30000
cl_updaterate 100
cl_cmdrate 100

I asked Holocaust to check it again and he banned me.


I'm making a plea on behalf of the community of BoSS to have this admin removed. I know alot about this game, ive set up servers, ive competed in various events, I know the source engine, and i can tell good admins from bad ones. Now im just judging him by this one encounter, but maybe you should check records of what kind of stuff hes been doing as admin on your server.

how could my rate be that low? if it was that low youd be an idiot not to set sv_minupdaterate to 66. but we know your not an idiot.

anyway, i fixed it. and i was still banned.
