I apologize in advance for bringing this up because I realize the dreaded "School" topic has been posted several times within the forum, but darn it, The Lotus needs to rant.... Any who, I'm currently working on my BS in Network Security and have a shiz load of work to do. I just feel like this crap is never going to end. It took me forever to decide on a final major. So let's see: 4 year program + 2 years of deciding / screwing around = 6 years for a bachelor's degree. Ouch! The worst part of all this work ---> School > CS, thus, less time to play, grrr! Oh well, felt good to get that out of my system. Back to my papers and presentations. Thanks for listening everyone.

yo, if you think it took you a long time to decide what you want to do and it still pisses you off, and it feels like it never ends - maybe its not what you need to be majoring in.... ive been trying to find my calling for a long time and i still havent found it... when you find it you can study it forever!

LOL! Yeah, well school is definitely important to me and network security seems to be my nitch. I love it to death, I just feel like work from other classes are overwhelming. I.E. - Math, criminal justice, history, etc etc... Also, maybe I push myself too hard in school and am not laid back enough. I only have a year left, and am still carrying a 4.0 GPA.

Network security is boring as fuck, and its about the same concept as being a locksmith, fuck it, I'd rather be a locksmith so I could pickup retarded bitches who lock themselves in their own cars.

Lmao Shadow! Yeah, I guess it can be boring to most, but for some reason it's interesting to me. I remember trying other majors ughh... I'd look at the clock like every second. Then it dawned on me. Business/Electronics/Programming and all the other majors I tried don't interest me.

I am doing Information Systems, concentration Networking & System analysis and design with some government side training and sh*t. but yeah I feel the same pain lotus basically 2 years of communitty finding what it was and 4 years getting it.
