Maybe, but lets take a look at the playerbase now.

About 1-2 months ago there were sh*tloads of regulars, including myself, that played office a good 3-4 hours a day at least. Now you have a few boss members in office, and the rest is filled with no-names. I pretty much stopped playing on office when I would check and see 0 players for a good portion of the day, then stopped checking when the wave of changes went through... dust2/office etc. I really don't see those regulars on anymore, they have found new servers to play on. Granted, flashbangs didn't cause people to leave, but I highly doubt they will help.

The office server used to be unique. It was a cool place to go and hang out, not too strict and didn't have the sh*t aspects of css involved in it. Didn't have to be super serious and could screw around a bit, making it an enjoyable (at least for me) time. It seems like recently the goal has been more to be like every other server and just get anyone to join with various methods (see announcements), because of this the quality of the server has really dropped in my opinion.

Of course though, its your server and you can do as you please. It just seems that the part of boss that attracted the people who weren't huge faggots and just wanted to chill and chat sh*t is gone.

Actually, you're wrong.

The people who b*tch and complain about flashbangs and AWPs in this game are generally the ones who won't stick around. They're obviously looking for something to complain about and move on to another server or even a different game. This has already happened to BoSS. You'll see that the servers with the most dedicated members have barely any restrictions and those members are always in the server. - Justin

Obviously Shadow has been trying to change up the server because its lost a lot of popularity and everyone wants to shake it up a bit. Regardless of the new changes, the server, and the game, have been dying for a few months now. CAL has vanished, TWL is fail, and the only other worthwhile leagues are Cevo and BOE but it just isn't the same. Once the competetive side of the game completely dies, the only people we will see on CS:S and the servers are complete faggots or hardcore fans.

Also, why the f*ck can't people still chill and chat? Do the flashbangs stop that? The new server was already empty before the changes were made so... Yeah...

You're full of shit, plain and simple, people didn't find *new servers* to play on, they straight up stopped playing source all together, check your friends list and note all the people who haven't signed on in over 100+ days, everybody has these types on their lists, if you can't see that source as a whole is dying, you're as blind as Helen Keller.

and that's the exact reason the servers stayed empty people like yourself make no effort.

The Servers are unique, you just try to get away with half of the shit we allow on our servers and let me know how that works out for you (racism, swearing, porn sprays, and so forth), and what is so bad about wanting to attract players? having random people on our servers is the only way that I know of to run servers, if its always the same few people day in day out, it will get boring and die, granted, you weren't exactly on vent when you played either, and that's a where a good portion of the fun comes in.

but really, I've had a blast with everyone since it's been implemented. Its a great add to flush out most campers, especially if the CTs can manage to use them outside of spawn and front stairs; otherwise it just adds to the T rape.

All in all, the server's been more full than I can remember it being in a long time.

yea cuzz i said something to Juluis and everything hit the fan.. ha my bad, but yea i am starting to like them because the server is going well again. We had 18 people at 3am. last night which is a good sign

I'm personally not a fan of flash bangs but I suck with em and against em lol. Even turning around to avoid em doesn't seem to help me. Honestly, either way is fine by me though. I'll get used to em lol
