Not 'advertising' for them or anything, but a friend of mine is part of DeadLock (a mod org. for L4D) and made this vid.

f*ck, if they create something interesting that I'm allowed to f*cking download and play on the very much dead LFD servers, more f*cking power to them.

the concept of a changing map sounds cool, probably make the game more interesting imo

no offense or anything, but for some reason i feel somewhat unimpressed by this. I don't know if its just because he is showing it on a texture map or whatever but I feel like this really won't "revolutionize" gaming, as it is being done(in some part) already. In addition they are just showing an initial "dumb" version, and as it has known to be only 5% of mod's actually make it to a real noteworthy release. Plus as of a few weeks ago its for a now dying game.

Meh...I always thought versus in L4D was a bit bland after the first dozen or so playthroughs of 'no mercy' - and, yes, i know the DC opened up the rest of the maps, but i never got over my attachment, however boring it was getting, to 'no mercy' in particular. Each team almost always mimicked the same and most direct path and the only reason for any diversion to this would be to find the weapon spawn...i assume this is generally the same for the other maps anyways. If this mod were implemented, you would always need to think on the go, find new paths instead of playing an odd version of follow the leader all the time. But yeah, as i said, im hoping and intrigued - but kinda doubtful at it really taking off, so to speak.

And they're implementing the hl2 code (hence the bland map and a...DoD:S model skin?)...meaning that they should easily be able to adapt it to L4D2, supposedly...once again, hoping but skeptical.
