Okay so you guys can laugh all you want at me but... I know i have some sort of virus in my PC cuz i was downloading a torrent the other day and randomly my PC crashed. The strange part is the Torrent is clean, and i ran a scan on my pc it detected the virus in my firefox folder, therefore my anti-virus cleaned it and then just to make sure i deleted firefox and all its components and then re-installed it after making sure it was all clean. Now when i go to google and search for something and i click a link, the link doesnt open but instead what opens is a random domain and i have noticed it redirects form some www.windowsclick.com type thing. When i run a scan it doesnt detect anything, the other day it detected something and i deleted it and it didnt resolve the issue. Weird.

any suggestions?

Make sure your pc is connected via an Ethernet cable and not Wifi....restart your pc, and right after the initial bios screen(before the Windows Loading screen) start hitting F8. Should give you a list of options...Select Safe Mode WITH Networking. Once it boots up select your normal XP username and not Administrator. When it boots up it'll have some pop-up...about using your pc or using system restore...click yes.

Alright, open Firefox/IE and goto http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Run through that and let it scan. Clean everything and restart like normal.

Download a better Virus scanner like AVG and install it/run it/scan again.

No i had AVG already.
I just did a quick system reboot, but i think theres a problem cuz i need to download Java but for some reason it keeps giving me an error and i went to Java's website and sadly i followed the steps and thats not the problem. I mean i know i'm not the smartest guy on the PC like you guys but i know what im doing and i dont understand why it's giving me this error.

should do, also if your pc is redirecting from one site to another, that would be in your host file, under system32/drivers/etc/hosts iirc, the only one listed should be localhost
