Anyone check that show out? episode 1 and 2 got released a couple of days ago, it seemed a bit like the old stargate but mixed with BSG which I think sucks but who knows.

Haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I probably will later tonight. I still stand by that no matter what time of day it is you can flip channels and always find Stargate on some channel.

I watched it. Don't really know what to think right now, I need to see some more episodes. I wouldn't say it sucks really, but so far it's not anything good either. And really, 3 Lucian Alliance ships fighting an Earth 304? That thing has Weapons that could one-shot kill all of them. I was also expecting to see some more of the base attack, and for it to actually make sense and be explained... but no, the trailer pretty much had the entire fight.

I couldn't really give a damn about the people, but the Destiny itself is pretty interesting. So I don't know, I'll have to watch a few more episodes before I can make up my mind.

Have they not beat the Stargate name to death enough? I liked it, but damn... wayyyy to many spring offs from the origonal.

Well the original series did go upto what, 10 or 11 seasons and that was all because the original movie, but to be honest it has a lot of routes to the plot they can go with.

the first two episodes of it really did remind me a bit like BSG which I hated, but I think it has potential if the writers don't fuck it up.

Ya know after I watched the origonal movie and then all of the Stargate tv series up to the last season I felt that the bad guys (dont ask me to try to spell that damn word.. gooald or some sh*t) were far more evil and serious than the tv series. Thought they were kinda like the storm troopers in star wars... it was fun to watch them get owend. Of course i was like 8 when that movie came out.. still one of my favorites.

Part 3 was alright, but still, I don't really care about the people. I want to see more of the adventures that they have. The scene with the mother on earth was so over the top and fake I started laughing. The actress played a good role in Atlantis, but this was laughable.

Another thing that bothers me is how the characters all supposedly know each other and how they are all best buds, and it feels like the viewers are supposed to know as well. In reality, most of them have met only several hours ago, but it still seems like all of the relationships are already developed. In SG1 and Atlantis, it made sense how the characters interacted with each other, since they worked together for several years. Here, you get the same feeling, but it also feels wrong since they are not supposed to know each other.

Overall, I hope they focus more on the adventures and the ship, rather than the personal interactions.

Like the show for the most part, but like Nova said the mother in part 3 was so badly done it made me want to lol and punch her in the face at the same time.

having watched all the current episodes, I can only say that I hate this show because it doesn't follow how the original episodes of stargate were, sure they were a bit cheesy, but at the same time had a lot of potential and an almost infinite amount of variations in the story.

The last episode was awesome, some epic backstabbing and leaving the dude stranded was awesome in my book lol (my book has alot of pictures and alot of words :D)
