Here's a game I have been waiting anxiously for. Be interesting to see if it's a console port fail.

God I remember in highschool on the weekends get 30 or so friends together in a basement or wherever we could find room to house our ancient POS machines playing AvP2 all day and all night.

Been playing the shit out of the demo. I hope this match making shit is just for the demo, because I know they announced dedicated server support for this game back in November.

As it stands in the demo, it takes about 5 minutes to get into a match and half the time the host leaves before the match is over kicking everyone out...

But I have been having fun pouncing on helpless marines.

yeah....I hate MP only demos, it kinda sucks, I want to actually play the game, but the matchmaking system is...sh*tty, always hated that MP format.
cant wait for the full version.

From what I read, the demo is actually early development build. Lacks directx11 support which the retail version will have, and alot of the character animations and such has been left out. Also alot of textures and optimization is out as well.


With a demo that is so different from the retail build why the f*ck release it? I mean honestly? Take a inhouse beta build, slap cheap multiplayer on it and release it as a demo that's what this is in a nutshell.

Seems more of a taste test of multiplayer style for all the scrubs that missed out on the classic AVP1&2.

Graphics don't really bother me, I can't use DX11, and it runs fine. I just wish I could mute everyone else and stop my mic from transmitting without cutting out my ability to speak on vent.

I've been having a blast with the gameplay though. Except the grab kills are a little cheap, you should have to be much closer to use it, but it does leave you open for a good 5-10 seconds so I guess it balances out.

Its fun but getting used to the controls of the alien is a b*tch as all other aliens do nothing but kill other aliens.

The first time I tried dropping on a marine was interrupted by another alien trying to ass rape me, so I dropped down just to get super fisted by the predator trying to kill the marine I was originally trying to drop on since I was now standing between him and said marine.

I imagine the marine was just as surprised to see two aliens and a predator appear, as I was to get simultaneously ass raped by both the alien and predator.

Deathmatch, not the best MP release.

yeah I remember everyone rolled that on the first one till they got owned then every marine switched to the pulse rifle
