currently in beta, but it finally removes the usage of IE6 and instead uses Webkit to render internal pages.

I must say, i like the change from IE but the UI reminds me of the Zune UI and makes me feel like a 'tard.

it removes IE from the steam shell, that feature by itself makes it a 100x worthwhile upgrade.

Had it installed on my laptop, then when I got home and upgraded my desktop, bam! Napoleon Total War uninstalled itself. So now I have to redownload the damn game before I can play it again.

Strange it uninstalled that game in particular all the others are still installed? @_@

Some other people on the forums reported games uninstalling themselves as well, i think steam knows about it.

Hence it being in beta. I'll probably wait for it to come out in the first stable version, then I'll jump on the new steam UI client bandwagon

The new UI isn't 'unstable' it just has a few bugs. For me, i just prefer the old UI

I've only had one noticeable bug: If I minimize from a Source engine game, the in-game overlay will have no text, just solid boxes.

If I move a chat window onto my second monitor and close it, then reopen it from the friends list, the window will be all black until i move it back to my primary monitor.

Hence it being in beta.

Isn't the 'community' still in its 'beta'?
